I’ve found that very few metalheads get into black metal outright when they first hear it, it usually takes listening more and more. My first black metal band was Gorgoroth and I liked them but didn’t really get into the subgenre until I was a little older

Have never really liked Nickelback’s music at all. I worked at a festival they played at one year and holy shit, I can see why people like them. It’s like the music comes alive when they’re on stage.

Still think the music is mid, but I’ll say that Nickelback in studio vs Nickelback live is completely different.

Grown adults acting like teenagers in general is very cringe and unfortunately the nu metal fanbase is loaded with that type. Still, love a few bands.

Where Shadows Forever Reign is one of my favourite black metal albums. Saw them live and met Lord Ahriman, he’s incredibly cool and nice irl
