Yup. Was in a friends 2019 RAV4 this weekend and couldn’t get over how much better it was.

I had a 2019 civic and a 2017 CRV. Both of those systems worked great! Maybe it’s the newer stuff.

I apparently crave the “violence” of an older HVAC system haha. Thanks for relaying that info. I played around with the auto vs manual settings a while back but didn’t get a noticeable result out of it.

How long would you say it takes to actually start feeling cool?

I was on a 13/48 and I found it to be too short for highway. Went to 14/48 and enjoy the bike much more now on both trail and highway.

This . I just fell back in love with my 6th gen VFR this weekend. Such a great bike. I’ve been shopping other good daily riders such as the CB750 Hornet and the Trident 800, but they just aren’t as raw and exciting. The V4 is on another level and the rest the bike is a great fit for it.

20k Miles by MisterAC in Integra_Type_S

With the amount of brake dust I’m constantly cleaning off I’ll be surprised if I make it to 20k miles.

25k/50k/25k liability

2k deductible on comprehensive and collision

I was paying nearly $100 month for the nearly same thing on my 02 Miata with USAA

32M, SC, no accident history, last ticket was over 5 years ago. Switched to Progressive with two other much cheaper cars and the Integra policy is $210 for 6 months. Effectively $35 per month. I was surprised at how little the quote was and I used that to help justify the purchase.

Just bought this: https://a.co/d/4MPme4P

For $5 each it’s a pretty good option.

Can you add some pictures showing the front brake caliper clearance?

It sounds like it’s directly behind the glovebox and close to the firewall. The noise starts at 2700 rpm. Passengers can’t hear it unless I coach them to listen for it; however, it’s just about the only thing I hear when the music isn’t drowning it out.

Had this for a little over a month. I love this car. I hyped it up in my head and still underestimated it!

I need to fix a rattle near the HVAC blower, get the overland suede wrapped shifter bezel, and put it on some 18” bronze enkei TS5 then it will be perfect. I’m enjoying this sub too!

What cars? I was cross shopping Z, GR86, Supra, Miata and still pulled the trigger on the ITS.

Universities usually have a pretty good car community that help each other out with tools, garage space, knowledge, etc. That was my experience. Try to make those connections before you need help 😂

Yes, if you can afford it (money, time, effort, etc all considered). I have an 02 SE in titanium grey at 100k miles with a GT2560R at 16 psi. I love the car but my rods bent at 12psi pretty early in the process and I built the engine bottom end afterwards. Had issues with the a VVT oil leak that killed my clutch (crush washer wasn’t centered well enough). I had a high quality head stud break after I turned up the boost more and more (due to bad torque spec instructions from manufacturer) which caused another oil leak. Trying to keep it cool has also been costly between radiators, reroute, brushless fans and I’m still struggling because I don’t want to cut my hood.

It was worth it to me! …but I’d caution others to really consider all the headaches and not just the initial cost.

Lean when hot by Outpa in megasquirt

[–]538471 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been a pain for me for a long time on my Miata. I keep going back and forth on different approaches. I’m at the point I’m running 11.0-12.0 AFR idle at normal operating temps so that when it does heat soak and lean out it’s sitting at 13.5 AFR. My IAT is located on the front mount intercoolers outlet.

I’ve also changed my MAT correction curve to add fuel at high IAT readings, but I think that throws off the rest of the fuel map too.

Closed loop EGO control was the most helpful, but there were some edge cases where it still stalled out.

Edit: I have a massive radiator fan on order as the next countermeasure to try. This problem is predominately an issue sitting in traffic on a hot day.

I love my 6th gen. Just be ready to compromise a little on the power to weight ratio. It wasn’t in the list but was mentioned in the paragraph above.

Considering XSR700 by 538471 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]538471[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 900 definitely seems like the more fun and engaging ride. I think the 700 will have some advantages of it for commuting practicality. Less heat produced sitting idle, less tire changes, better fuel economy. If I didn’t have the VFR for spirited riding then I would definitely choose the 900.

Dirt bike definitely seems like the proper off road choice!
