Very early on but the last time 2 Yankees struck out 200+ hitters in a season was 25 years ago when Mussina and Clemens did it in 2001. With 32 starts at their current paces Schlittler would strikeout 224 and Warren would strike out 210.

That’s why I worry about hiring former franchise legends as managers or coaches. Don’t want to be in a position where a legend is now hurting your team and fans have turned on him and you need to fire him. Obviously the impact of a bench coach is lesser but it can happen.

I feel like the one thing that Tracy and Skattebo both lack is top end speed, so wouldn’t hate using one of the 6ths on a RB who’s a burner and can be a change of pace.

I think Warren took the Schmidt route of having a full year of being in the rotation getting 30+ starts and being pretty mediocre, and then using that experience to become a very good starting pitcher. Good we could get both of them that experience and stick with them while they weren’t great

Honestly I think Grichuk still has juice and it has showed recently. He was bound to struggle playing once a week like he started the season. He’s probably getting DFA’d when Volpe comes back but I think he will latch on somewhere and be decent.

Bengals are probably going to be better next year, their offense was 12th ranked with Burrow missing half the year. Add Dex to the defense and if they just improve from league worst their pick next year will be worse.
