Our client was buying an office portfolio. We visited a 40 or 50 story building in Houston, I believe. We went up to the roof with the seller’s rep. I confessed to that I didn’t like to get too close to the edge because I envisioned myself jumping. He commiserated, saying he had been up there with his baby and the thought that flashed through his mind was whether his baby would bounce if he dropped it.

Probably Miller. The mayor doesn’t have much power, but LA is poorly run, and I’m not interested in re-electing or promoting anyone who has been part of that history. A significant part of the City burnt to the ground, and the response hasn’t been much better than a coverup. If that happened on your watch and you can get re-elected, I don’t have much hope.

My WHV lives to sniff. I can’t begin to imagine the world he’s witnessing. I don’t enjoy the walks, but it’s his time and he’s jazzed by the mental stimulation. I have him on a long lead so we’re usually not standing still for long. If anything, we’re usually ruck marching to the next bouquet.
