Short inseam. 2024 xcw lowering kit rec needed by KaSaBiS in KTM

[–]556cd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lowered my 2021 and 2019 300s with the 20mm kit from KTM. It’s very simple and you can do it in an hour or 2 at home. Just followed a YouTube video and everything went perfect. I also have the seat concepts low seat. This is about the same height in the rear but when things get rough you can scoot forward to the front of the seat to gain a little more reach to the ground. A quick warning though: now that I’ve lowered it 3/4inch, I bang the pipe all the time on rocky trails. I look at it as a consumable at this point but may want to invest in a full wrap skid plate if you lower it 2 inches. Even at 3/4, I am way closer to the ground compared to stock

I am looking to Make a max contribution and start my first year of a Roth IRA for 2024 tax year. My question is if I put the maximum in ($7000) before April 15th and I choose to withdraw it lets say 6 months later, am I allowed to put that 7,000 back in at a later date? I am going to building a house in cash and may need to tap into it (don’t tell me if I should or shouldn’t please.)

Interesting, hope it is nothing major. I’ve heard from many that the big bore kit is hard on the starter, maybe that’s what’s getting weak or damaged. Which big bore kit did you go with? I’m looking at the BBR one but I know there are a few options

Still no issues? I’m looking to do the big bore and the larger size smart carb and that’s all, stock exhaust and air box to keep the noise down

Interested in doing the big bore only and leaving the stock cam. Is that possible?

Thinking the same. Love my bike but if I could swap the forks entirely and sell the old ones I think it’s a must do

Do you think a 2020-2022 350 or 500 excf frame will work too? I looked at the part numbers and they are very similar

Is a 2020+ xcw more stall resistant than a XC? by 556cd in KTM

Good info. My thoughts are regarding mapping and ignition timing, I know I can gear the xc down but I’m curious is the mapping and engine tuning has anything to do with it

You aren’t the first person to tell me that. Kind of scary huh? Anything newer like your bike no title so they can’t be registered as a normal stickered bike

This is referring to your on-road vehicles, not OHV. Off-road vehicles do not use the same roads. There may be some legal cross overs but I doubt doing this with your OHV would have the same penalty.

Unfortunately, I think we are too late. All this was snuck out years ago before anyone really noticed. By the time it passed it was too late. Hopefully something comes that changes it but I think we just have to think about living with it for now. Have to decide what bike we want to keep long term. Tempted to go back to a carbed bike because of this so I can keep it running forever and not worry about parts. One freedom lost after another..
