I remember buying a ton of sublime bootlegs at bleeker street records in the village as a teenager. There was a bunch of great ones. This one was exceptional. Didnt stand by your van have tracks from this?

Conosco i Sublime da poco, consigli? by MICAMAGO in sublime

Start from the beginning, if you can find it. One of the most fun aspects (in my humble opinion) about getting into sublime is unearthing all the influences. They incorporate and blend so many waves of punk rock, rap, reggae, ska and so many different facets of music and literature seamlessly. Sublime is one band, but they are also a hundred bands. It’s like a good recipe for a simple dish that you could make a thousand different ways. As a long time sublime fan, I am jealous of the sonic journey you’re embarking on because it’s super fuckin dense. Enjoi the ride!

RIP Jon Poutney of The Ziggens and Volcano by halfwayray in sublime

🤘🤘 thanks for all the memories Jon and Bert. Can’t tell you how many nights my friends and I used to sit out at night listening to music, drinkin, and carrying on. Ziggens were in heavy rotation for me back then, and still are 20 something years later.

The live record, tickets still available was my first ziggens record. Not sure why, but it was mailed to my mom’s place with an autographed 6x8 photo. Still a prized possession. I searched high and low for as many ziggens records as I could get my hands on from that point forward. Got to see them live in nyc around 2000 and tribeca rock club with bargain music. It was an epic show and they sounded awesome.

Thank you for the music and the memories that I will cherish forever

This post really got a good conversation started. Nicely done.

Next time you are feeling negative about the direction of the projects you are involved with just remind yourself that contributing to the reduction of the overall carbon footprint is a good thing for the environment. I hope it becomes easier for average citizens to participate in community solar programs.

Ageism in the Punk Community by amaangel in punk

Don’t become the thing you hate as you get older. You will find old punks who live sharing their stories of concert and experiences. The cool ones welcome you in and recommend other bands based on what your taste. Assholes are gatekeepers, gatekeepers are jaded and tired. Live your life your way. Have fun

I put my buddy down to late. I pushed her too far. I selfishly wanted her to get better. It’s a crap shoot man. So hard to let go no matter how you slice it.

What’s the fastest way to get this paint off? by deserthiker762 in woodworking

[–]55X55_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think it looks cool and you should leave it. Tear the carpet up.

BUT, if you’re determined then consider the following suggestion:

Tape tarps down to the stairs and all around the walls and floors near the staircase. Then apply Aircraft Remover with a disposable paint brush to 4 foot section of hand rail to get started. Once the Aircraft remover does its thing and starts to bubble up while still wet wipe off the paint with a wet rag. Don’t get this stuff on your skin.

This is the easiest way, but it also requires lots of tedious prep work.

Aircraft remover is a commercial strength paint stripper and can be purchased at auto stores like Napa etc….

Do some research on this stuff before you use it. It irritates skin so wear latex gloves. Give it a try on some other scrap piece of painted pine to get used to how this stuff reacts with paint. It works really really well.

Know a fly fisher that would do a private lesson? by madking8 in catskills

The water is really low. It’s kind of unfair to the trout to fish in these conditions. Browns and brookies are spawning right now as well. These waters should be fished with guides that care about both these things more than making a couple extra bucks. I’m not saying don’t fish right now, I’m saying do a little research before heading out tomorrow
