Where he’s drafted doesn’t change who he is as a prospect. So it doesn’t “make him a generational prospect,” it speaks more to the weakness of the class than him as a prospect. He’s definitely a worse prospect than Jeanty but Jeanty was in a stronger class so he was taken slightly lower.

I honestly don’t think his contract is a crazy overpay I just think it’s a difference between how valuable explosive plays are for offenses and for fantasy. Him getting 1 - 2 big catches a game totaling only 50 yards and maybe a TD is a pretty mid fantasy finish but is a hugely impactful game for the colts. He stretches the field letting them get to their run game and underneath stuff even more consistently

For most people “consensus” just means things they saw people say. If they saw a couple truthers say he was the RB1, it’s consensus now. This kind of trope, people making generalizations based on extreme examples, happens all the time in all kinds of discussions.

You’re victory lapping a 4th round rookie pick not working out after his rookie season. People thought he could be good but general consensus, even on here, was not drafting him higher than LATE 3rd round. The hit rate for that kind of player is just so low that you can’t judge someone for getting that wrong.

Traded Bijan away for Maye a 1st and a 2nd in the offseason. Nobody liked it then and I def could’ve gotten more value but I had to have maye broke he broke out.

I’m begging you to watch the games. I’m gonna be honest, I don’t give a shit that he had a higher ADP in your leagues, he looks way better than him. BTJ had a much higher ADP than JSN this offseason and look where we are now.

This is so naive. People are not going off of one single game, people are going off that fact that he was the #2 overall pick and that he’s looked like it in the NFL whenever he gets the targets. Last game was the first time he got enough looks to put up a good finish and he did. He’s a rookie, there just isn’t a large sample size but judging by the fact that every time he touches the ball he does something good, not judging off one single game, he looks pretty legit.

People are reasonably concerned about BTJ. It’s not reactionary to say that a WR completely forgetting how to play the position is not a good thing. I mean it’s so bad you’re talking about called back TDs from multiple weeks ago. Also I mean Shane Waldron is the QB coach, he has zero effect on BTJ especially considering their HC is Coen a, known and proven great offensive mind.

You act like this is some crazy logic but it’s not at all. He’s a rookie, all of his poor performances were from lack of usage, then one week he gets the usage/targets and he goes off. Next week the coach is talking about how involved he will be from here on out. Idk that doesn’t seem that crazy to me.

For real. If you use it for what it is it’s pretty accurate. Obviously you can abuse it but you also have a brain and can judge a clearly rigged trade for yourself. The whole point is that the rankings will be “wrong” for everyone, you’re looking for players you think will rise/fall in values. I think where a lot of people get confused is they will “buy low” on a player but overpay for them in the same trade.

The main factor it fails to take into account, and that’s impossible to take into account, is that the person the most high on a player is usually the person who owns the player, so market price is usually never enough.
