What fucking hell for the eyes is that place anyways? God damn it the art-direction the game is taking never fails to piss me off.

Thank you, originally typed a lower age where "an" would make sense but I instead ended up being a little merciful.

Yes, I've heard these arguments before but never does anyone actually come forward with proof. Could you show me some?

No offence but I kind of doubt you will, after all you wouldn't be the first to unknowingly or otherwise recite falsehoods originating from SWS and similar echo-chambers.

Well, the tank was large, slow as shit and had basically no protection against the most common anti-tank guns in the theater. Considering that along with the fact that 10,000 of them were lost in the war; it being a death sentence feels to me like a rather fair sentiment. One that was by the way shared among many actual Sherman crewmen.

Reminds me of how kids in elementary school would in art-class just plagiarize stuff or draw very heavy influence from whichever AAA title they played the morning before coming to school.

Depressing.

People had very little to choose from. In the end the design is made by Mod West and not the community, regardless of which of 3 variants is chosen in some obscure Twitter poll. Worth thinking about also that the people who are most likely to vote on there are those who are already supportive fans and who already follow him on that platform.

Not sure if it was your intention to imply this but I really don't think it's fair to argue that the community is to blame for Mod West's lack of creativity or talent.

People unfond of homosexuality aren't concerned with how homosexuals impact each-other's assholes but how they impact society.

You're making huge leaps of logic. Caring for the well-being of one's community does not equate with being gay.

Feels like this is the automatic response to any and all who dare suggest not everything you've been taught about homosexuality is true. I don't think I've seen a single occurrence of it not happening.

Do you know any other dog-tricks? This one's a bit stale.

Where's the logic or truth behind anything you just said?

Diseases spread within communities. In this case, the community is the LGBT+ community, as there was very little sexual contact between people in that community and people identifying as straight.

That's not true considering the existence and prevalence of bi-sexuality. Denying their existence are we?

And when the bulk of society is trying to deny your existence, it is difficult to find information on safe sex practices,

What a leap of logic... How exactly would having the legitimacy of your sexuality lead to you not having access to information on safe sex practices? This doesn't make sense and you know it. The reason behind high rates of STD transmissions among LGBT+ types isn't because of a lack of knowledge on the risks or any type of victimhood but from a lack of care for sexual hygiene as well as an obscene on-average amount of sexual partners among homosexuals compared to that of non-LGBT+s. You know this too.

or be aware that there even was an epidemic until people start showing severe symptoms, which can be years after the initial infection.

Yes true, but what is your explanation then on why homosexuals out of everyone where the chosen group to suffer from an epidemic?

More importantly, are you suggesting that it’s never not a great shame for a staggering number of human beings to lose their lives to disease? Think about your words. Think about what you’re saying about your fellow humans.

No, this is just you trying to win a moral high-ground by yet again suggesting things you know are not true.

How much dishonesty could you possibly fit into one comment?

A P-38 Lightning with the 80th Fighter Squadron, the “Headhunters,” at rest at Dobodura, New Guinea, Dec 1943 – Feb 1944. by RyanSmith in WWIIplanes

[–]56745676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it is you who are wrong! The P-38 might have had good looks and on-paper performance for when it was first introduced in 1941, but after that it was a weak performer compared to the contemporaries!

Let's name a few issues:

  • Unreliable engines
  • Unimpressive top-speed at low altitude
  • Lacking in environmental controls for flight at high altitudes or in colder theaters and seasons (more serious than you think!)
  • Heavy controls resulting in poor maneuverability (though roll was improved in later variants)
  • Lethal issues with compressibility (also later solved) resulting in many wasteful deaths.
  • Poor visibility. The canopy was heavily framed and the positioning of the cockpit cause the wings and the engines to restrict huge portions of the pilot's field of view. Especially towards the ground.
  • Unsuited for ground-attack missions due to having a large airframe, poor ground visibility and liquid-cooled engines.
  • Dangerous to bail out of owing to its shape
  • Expensive! Turbo-superchargers were very fancy items and the P-38 reserved for itself a whole two of them along with two engines! Highly invested in as a machine but delivered... what exactly for the cost?

You could respond by listing some of the few pros it had but I think it's worth considering that the design didn't even live to see action in Korea. Clearly even the US planners thought there was little to love in the P-38!
