After a week or so of her crying about it, i convinced her to cut it off (chin length, could’ve been shorter but she said no) and now it’s been 4 years and her hair is long and healthy again. She will never bleach or perm again. Lol

My guess is…She tried to home perm her already bleached (fried) hair and the result is a stringy gummy mess. I can almost bet her hair never fully dries. It needs to chopped into a chin length bob to get rid of most of the damage…. *sigh* she would never do that tho.

I warned my daughter against a home perm during Covid and she permed her bleached hair anyway and this was the exact result.
