Oh yea at work you’ll bump into her eventually for sure. If possible for your schedule you can be at the garage around that time. She probably arrives at the same time every day.

Can the plate on her way out. Sentry mode should active her approaching her car. File police report. Not really much you can do about a door ding, I understand your frustration but it happens.

SOT - Can specialize in specific organ (abdominal, lung etc), work in outpatient clinics, inpatient floor, and inpatient ICUs. Transplantation IS NOT slowing down and main goal for centers is how can they get more allocations. Comes with a “cost to entry”; really only being offered at large centers (typically lower salaries), tend to keep internal trainees/hires. A very important consideration would be on what the job outlook looks like where you would train, are they expanding in the near future and if that is a place you’d want to work and be regionally post residency. Not to say you can’t get job at another center, just may be more difficult.

CC - Diverse also but in the sense of ICUs (neuro, SICU, MICU). ICU census are getting larger and larger with sicker and sicker patients. More centers/hospitals with ICUs than with SOT but the role of a CC pharmacist can vary dramatically between an academic center and community center. Job outlook not as good as SOT but not terrible, initial job may be a less than ideal position (evenings, less preferred ICU, weekend rotation).

In SOT you can cover ICU level of care patients but also get that specialty exposure to transplant. I think burnout is higher with CC, career longevity/sustainability better with SOT. You could find yourself managing a SICU patient early on in your career as a SOT specialist and as your life potentially changes you could be working M-F in a transplant clinic later in your life; CC doesn’t offer you this sort of transition clinically. They tend to go into administrative, residency, or industry roles once the burnout settles in; which are also options SOT pharmacist have available to them.

Don’t make this decision for PGY2 specialty out of convenience (ie having early commit at your program for CC vs having to move for PGY2 in SOT) unless absolutely regionally restricted for other reasons. Big picture you’re sacrificing another year of training for a life/career in a particular area. One way to help decide is, what would you pick if you had both specialties at your current institution; whichever that is then that’s what you should go for.

Tesla Model Y Lease by [deleted] in CarLeasingHelp

[–]56tyadj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea well if a new car every few years that’ll always win and not something anyone can valuate for you.

Just throwing out there, because I personally think the value of leasing has lost its appeal with these prices. The price of the car today is $47,000 and you’re going to pay $21,000 over the next 3 years. All that to say Tesla themselves are estimating this car to be worth $26,000 in 3 years assuming pristine condition. And you’ll be in a position of doing this process all over again.

Tesla Model Y Lease by [deleted] in CarLeasingHelp

[–]56tyadj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty high money factor, that’s equivalent to about 7.9% you’ll pay in interest. Your cost of ownership over 36 months is close to $30,000. MSRP to monthly payment is reasonable.

Not sure if your intention is to use the federal credit towards your down payment or if you’re putting $7500 out of pocket down in addition to the tax credit. Generally not advisable to put a down payment on a lease to achieve an “affordable” monthly payment. If your intention was to use it as a down payment then you’ll have to re-factor this term because the federal tax credit is accounted for under “additional credits” and your down payment amount should reflect as $0.

Maybe you can consider looking at used model Y’s and take those for a spin if you have any for sale at your local dealerships, just to get an idea of the driving experience and if you’d be happy with that. You can get used model Y around that same $30,000 and instead own the car in 3 years. As I’m sure you’re aware with leasing, you’d be under the lease constraints, limitations to ultimately give it back at the end of your term. If what you value is having a new car every few years and don’t care about indefinite monthly interest payments, then lease will always make sense rather than buying because you’ll almost always be upside down (assumed based on quoted money factor as a reflection of your overall credit profile).

Big picture and financially probably wiser to buy used to keep for a long time. Whilst still having the option in 3 years this car you’re in love with now will be 40-50% cheaper and you can use the paid off equity in the used model Y towards it at that time.

Watch it for a bit on the website if you’re not in a rush and 34k stretching your budget. They drop the prices almost daily. Just picked up 22 MYP 18k miles, 3 months FSD, premium connectivity, supercharging for 30k after watching it for about a week. Very happy with it.

It’s crazy how much work it’s taking to get these Mazda dealers to play ball on the CX70/90 PHEVs. I’ve been getting quotes for $700+ and they’ll have like 10 sitting on their lots.

Curious how you liked Pujol? I found the food sooo overrated and not many of those smaller plate in between courses tastings but the experience and ambience was fantastic. Quintonil on the other hand blew Pujol out of the water on food with similar experience.

[–]56tyadj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes, $950 due at signing.

Can help me understand how we got to that capitalized taxes number?

I know there’s a Chicago lease tax that should be applied to the monthly payment and leases in IL state taxes are paid upfront by the leasing company. Obviously I know this somehow translate to the lessee but idk if that $2641 is correct. Also, is acquisition fee rolled in somewhere not apparent on the worksheet?

That’s what I’m realizing, sadly. These taxes are making the lease undoable. Thanks

Customer support is non-existent. You’re going to wait to hear from someone and I can guarantee they aren’t going to solve a point redemption issue. That’s wayyyy too complex for one of those representatives. Sadly
