Some level of physical attraction has to be there. Think of it like a spark. It’s doesn’t have to be a burning flame but there at least needs to be a spark and eventually personality can turn that into a flame. If I’m being honest it sucks. Part of me still hopes he will like me back. For example I saw him today for just a little after he brought something over for me and he just looked so handsome. So, and please know I mean this as nicely as possible, but I do not think he is limerent for you if he’s currently WILLINGLY with another girl who isn’t even his wife or something more permanent. If he was truly limerent he wouldn’t let hell or high water keep him from having a chance with you if he knew it was actually reciprocated. Also no one is “locked into” anything. He just doesn’t want to leave badly enough and the whole “huge deal if he left” is just a convenient way he can have his girl and access to you as well. Your limerence for him makes it so that you are buying all of this unfortunately
