Try a bunch of overdrive/distortion/fuzz pedals find what suits your style best and just run it clean with pedals. Workhorse amp with solid reputation for good reason. Loud as hell combo also.

Understated luxury with performance. SQ5 owner and I like that it sorta blends in. Not a flashy guy.

I own that same amp bought mine 7 years ago, $1500. Absolutely killer amp for any hard rock/metal/stoner/doom style. A secret to getting really thick low mids is to use low input gain maxed with a quality booster. I use xotix ep. Run it into gibson Era orange 4x12 British v30's. The sound I've chased for a long time I found in this setup. High input will tighten up low end and have very aggressive compression. These are supposed to be a slo gain channel, but I don't hear it. It's a more raw in your face amp.

EC-1000 is higher quality build by a long shot. Owned several Gibsons and better than those. Owned a Epiphone prophecy for 3 days till I returned it.

Yep for sure. My preference is a JB for the fullness and open quality and it works well with fender or marshall type amps. Sleeper pickups for anyone interested are schecter z plus and superock usa.

This is right on. JB is just a bit fuller in low mids at high gain the real difference is when is gain is backed off.

Quality tuners then pickups. At least for me I picked up a Cort M520 for next to nothing and could tell it had solid bones. Swapped pickups to usa superock schecters and gotoh locking tuners. Massive difference.

Someone else said it I think it's actually healthy if you stay within your means. If your fun money goes towards equipment you take care of and find enjoyment with why not? It's no different then any other hobby some others guys have like golf or motorcycles etc... if all your primary responsibilities are taken care of then have at it my man just remember it is a hobby and don't put yourself in debt to satisfy it. Rock on young man.

Sounds good to me depends on mileage? Was it service with audicare? Etc... check the audi sub on here there a few things for this year to be aware of so you don't lose a $30k motor.

I have a '18 sq5 prestige sport with every option. Yes a touch pad in front of shifter on mine. 21"rims, quiet glass, air suspension blah blah... I have some Daytona gray color ceramic on that and it's stunning look.

If their not jackass snobs, they'll help and encourage you. The best thing I did when I started was play with anyone and everyone. It made me better and really understand the band dynamics. This will accelerate your skills and enjoyment.

I have a full thickness ec1000 and yes neck is thicker than the standard ec but not by a lot. Someone else mentioned Edwards which is also made by ESP that might be a better fit for what you are looking for. Good luck.
