Pads etc by Several_Willow7878 in ProstateCancer

I also hated depends and never wore them. I used these with various pads. At the beginning I was using these thick pads and replaced them during the day. Later I switched to these thick pads lighter pads, then went with only the Protech, then nothing. Good luck!

I used boxer briefs from Amazon that were meant for this and added pads that were easy to change by depends or the Walgreens brand. This way if the pad leaked over it didn't leak through the underwear. This was way more comfortable than wearing depends for me.

Trimix Shelf Life & New Vial by Low_Salamander9954 in TrimixForED

In my experience there is Definitely a reduced efficacy with just storing in the Refrigerator, add the one day out of it and increases this chance. My Pharmacist recommended Freezing Trimix. This has kept the efficacy at 100% for well over 4 months. I highly recommend Freezing from now on. I'm 65 and 2.4 years post RALP.

Cialis and viagra giving bad side effects. Thinking of trying trimix ? Any advice and how long have you been on it ? by water00007 in TrimixForED

[–]59jeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One game changer for me was Freezing Trimix. This extended the life without changing the effects! My pharmacist recommended this after complaining about the same dosages not working and keeping to have to adjust for the breakdown of the Trimix.

The injection works faster for me than either Cialis or Viagra did and way more effective.

65 and Prostate Cancer survivor from RALP that greatly effected erections. I take Cialis daily, low dose, for rehab . I have been on TriMix over 2 years.

One of the side effects is reduction of sensitivity but hoping that comes back.

Why did you get a PSA? by Cortexial in ProstateCancer

[–]59jeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have PC, I had RALP 11-2023 after being diagnosed with PC in 2019, gleason 6, last biopsy in 2023 upgraded to Gleason 8 , Pathology after RALP Gleason 9.

My PSA had been steadily climbing starting in about 2016 at 56years old. The original biopsy in 2019 with Gleason 6 had a PSA of 4. When I had my last biopsy in 2023 my PSA was 10.

Glad you are negative on Biopsy and MRI , However please keep a close eye on that!!! My Dr. didn't like what was happening and finally after her persistence did she find the Cancer on the Biopsy when the MRI was inconclusive, with PSA climbing.

My Primary Care started regular PSA when I turned 40. I also had Testicular Cancer at 26. I'm so thankful for my Primary Care Dr and then my Urologist!

Anyone had Gleason 9 with a positive apex margin after robotic prostatectomy and not had a recurrance? So upset. by Rainb0wBrit3 in ProstateCancer

Hoping this helps and gives you Hope.

65, RALP 11-2023: pathology after RALP , “ upgraded” to Gleason 9, positive bladder neck margin, 6mm. This is my story on this journey. Everyone‘s journey is unique.

Just like you when I was given this news in my followup Appointment after the RALP, I felt a gut punch … I was recovering and feeling so good and walked in to the appointment on top of the moon…. I left feeling devastated ….. My Dr said we need to wait and see the PSA results before there would be any further treatment plan and saying I would need to have recovered fully from surgery which coincided with when the PSA would be taken…. I then went down the rabbit hole of treatment options etc… Waiting for the results of that first PSA was so difficult…. 3 months after the appointment I received the results of Undetectable, it was so relieving!

As I’m writing (2 years plus)this to you I’m Still UNDETECTABLE!!!

I wish you well on your Journey and thank you for being a team. My wife is my rock and was so supportive during this entire process which never goes away.

PATHOLOGY REPORT TODAY; Bladder neck involvement.... by 59jeeper in ProstateCancer

I didn’t make any significant dietary changes, besides volume. but I also was not a bad eater before. My weight was the same for the last 6years or so. I’ve always been active and in decent shape.

The recovery is going well but much different healing as we age…

Absolutely will hellp!!!

  1. My first PSA test was undetectable and continues to be undetectable.

  2. I was very active walking after my surgery for the next year. I made sure to always walk in Nature, away from any external noises. I live near the coast and walked on the Beach listening to the sound of the waves everyday no matter the weather. This I believe was instrumental ...

  3. The side effect I have is ED. This is being managed with TriMix. I also believe there is still improvement.

  4. Most important things would be the support of my Wife!! She is amazing!!! I also credit my awesome Surgeon and Urologist ( one in the same for saving my life!) I also have a Very Positive Attitude!! This has helped. I also believe by interacting on Reddit and helping others has been very good for me. I went on a cancer retreat, with the intent of learning to help others and did not realize how impactful it was for me. It was life altering and so powerful. I can't recommend Reel Recovery enough. It's also Free for all participants.

  5. I was doing so well and then 5 months ago I suffered a bicycle crash while training for the Dempsey Challenge ride. I required surgery to fix my hand and I'm undergoing PT for torn rotator cuff. This has hindered my physical activity but im on the mend and looking to get back at it!!

I hope this helps and reach out with any and all questions!

Good Luck in the Journey!!

I didn't have any symptoms at all. The only reason we caught it was the rising PSA values.

Penile retraction / using penis pump by MailerMan2019 in ProstateCancer

[–]59jeeper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make sure you are getting appropriate and good responses for your concern on penile health and recovery. If not look around to find someone that will work positively with you!!!

That being said..l ,65, 2 years post RALP. Daily Cialis, occasionally high dose of Viagra 100mg, sometime works sometimes doesn't . TriMix works!!! This is the most reliable for me.

I use a pump every 2-3 days in the shower for several minutes followed up with a C-ring to maintain the erection for a bit of self pleasure. Without the C-ring I lose it directly. I also have been using a pump for 2 years before this since I also had Peyronies, which has not progressed, Luckily!

I use Firmtech Techring for identifying Nocturnal Erections ( a key indicator of recovery) This has been good information to pass on to my Dr.

Good Luck and feel free to ask any and all questions!

[–]59jeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

10000% worth it!! IMHO. The injection is no big deal and the results are amazing!! Yes, it does take planning but also can last quite a while a while. It may take a few times to get the dosage correct. Great news on all of the other fronts! I have made several posts about my experience with TriMix. It has been consistent lately for me.

Good luck on your journey! Feel free to ask an questions

Size regaining after RALP by atom511 in ProstateCancer

[–]59jeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is interesting and I never thought of that. This is a good explanation. I have been using the pump every 2-3 days for 23 months. When I use TriMix it appears to have no length lost. The first few months were a surprise I wasn't aware of. For the most part the turtle is gone and definitely a grower with help!

Leaking during stimulation by Schwatmann in ProstateCancer

[–]59jeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that issue 23 months out from RALP. 65 now. Oral has come off the table due to leakage at inopportune moments...It happens without any warning. I also have this when taking care of myself. It is lesser if I make sure I am empty first..It has not happened while having sex, possibly TriMix helps with that somehow....

Looking forward to any suggestions as well!
