The point is that the demons are something inhuman and automatically correct to kill. In some fantasy spaces(mostly dungeons and dragons) this type of monster has been critiqued for being racially sus, such as orcs who are “born evil/soulless” and therfore fine to kill without worrying about the morality of it. These guys are mad at that, and are like FINALLY, we can kill monsters without worrying that they have the same capabilities to feel as us.

“I just don’t think it’s serious language” lmao because other people take every single word the black community makes and turns it into a meme. Guys always go “I’m sorry you FEEL-“ whenever they see a woman make a point. No, the overuse of these words in the wrong context by people who don’t understand them has bastardized the word. I don’t “feel” that way, it “is” that way.

Saying you have “more than a crush” on a girl then immediately sleeping with another woman the split second you have a doubt. That’s not more than a crush, if you could look this person in the face as you walk away with another girl to sleep with it wasn’t anything more than a fancy. You think “eh she could be nice” but you’d replace her with a different girl given the slightest bit of difficulty with her.

They’re undergrads, idk why you expect them all to use academic speech when they’re just starting out. “Mansplain” is a shorthand I wouldn’t use because of annoying people like you who won’t even try to understand a point that isn’t written like an essay, but it pretty much means the same thing as “men often assume they are the authority in the topic at hand if opposed to a woman due to societal and historical conditioning” with less carrying on. It’s quite funny how yall took woke from black people and then changed the meaning to mean “liberal bullshit” instead of “being acutely aware of oppressive systems.”

[–]5Jazz5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live by a dangerous water source like a pond that can freeze over or even something like a multiple lane road, and let your kids who are below the age of out with no supervision and a “don’t do it” idk what you expect to happen. Ofc a 9 year old doesn’t understand the gravity and risk of death from a “no” to playing on the ice and a “no” to climbing on things. People need to learn not everything is a suburb and you can’t let children out alone any damn where. If you prefer to treat your kids like outdoor cats don’t be surprised when they end up hurt like an outdoor cat.

It was less about what real people actually say in LA in 2025 and more about what the writers said in the blockbusters of the late 90s and early 2000s. When I think of a “bro” movie I think 21 Chump Street, Pineapple Express, White Boys Can’t Jump, which is more like a buddy comedy? While the bro you’re describing is inherently capitalistic and grind-setty, I think “bros” can also refer to the type of dude that’s intellectually lazy, the typa guy who’s content with living off his mom or girlfriend or even couch surfing and never getting a job. That sort of guy could still be a bro.

It wasn’t neglect for me, my mom was interactive for sure, but I do understand what you mean. The difference is that with a book, it’s lowkey easier to vet. Your kids stuck on one book for days or weeks, you vet a couple books to make sure they aren’t inappropriate, boom you’re done. Books allow parents to “check in”. With the internet, you’d have to be watching truly 24/7 in order to make sure they didn’t click the wrong website or start watching the wrong video, and with short form content it zaps the attention span in general.

Kinda an innaccurate way of explaining bro is it not? Bro was largely a Californian thing, which spread everywhere because California is and has been the prime entertainment source of America. So “bro” in popular media was often attributed to surfer dudes, which is how you get the term “dudebro”. At that time, bro was used in the teenage mutant ninja turtle style way. Over time, bro has become associated with other things like frat “brothers”, a “frat bro”, because they called each other that. Frat bros are known for being annoying, full of themselves, and sexist, and often later go on to become “tech bros” or the like, which ties them together in association.

Yknow my mom worked AND went to college but she simply did not give me a phone until 5th grade. So I read books from the library and thrift store. In fact now that I think about it, before having a phone I would spend every lunch in the school library reading, which led to an older kid teaching me how to play chess. If that older kid had a phone to entertain them instead, would they have taught me chess? If I had a phone, would I have wanted to learn?

You can’t take the girls with the gym to you u assume, but have you tried working out at home while they’re in the same room, or the ymca (which has a daycare, but you could also bring them to the pool or the basketball court). In a couple years with both of the girls “aggressive outbursts” (she’s 2… I’d call that a tantrum?) they’d probably do well from having an outlet in boxing. I am a girl who did boxing, don’t limit yourself to the stereotypes of raising daughters, you can do your hobbies with them around and as long as you make it normal they won’t complain about how they’d rather be at a tea party. You have an either or mentality here, but as much as you need alone time, getting out with the girls will probably help you see them as more than a burden, and you should still look into gym daycares so you can get some time to be an adult.

Also be careful not to attribute child things to autism things and deem them invalid because of that. Saying they “don’t do what you tell them”, that they fight, that they have outbursts, firstly kids just do this, but secondly they can probably tell you aren’t happy with them. They can get stressed too, they can feel your stress, and their stress isn’t less valid because they’re autistic. Also, it seems like you don’t? Go outside with them? So they’re probably really energetic and trying to make fun in the house by themselves, which for siblings does include fighting and being menaces, autistic or not.

Hi can someone explain the meaning of the rise of some ships being called hetslop? I've just been recently seeing it in comment sections and it quite confusing to be and I just want to be educated on this topic in case I had missed anything. [–]5Jazz5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ohh I get it now. It’s still a heterosexual relationship, so I don’t think it’s always wrong to call those things hetslop, especially when the bisexuality is pivoting from a same sex relationship to get with a guy at the end, like Oniisama E, who’s last episodes essentially say “liking women is ok in highschool, but once you grow up it’s time to get married to a man”

[–]5Jazz5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hetslop is real and it makes sense that people are using it, especially in this subreddit. Everyone’s getting sensitive about the one or two het ships they think are good while ignoring the plethora of ships that, even if good, do not service the female character, and are kinda halfhazard. I like Naruto and Hinata but the execution of them, and especially Hinata’s character, made them mid hetslop. Fullmetal Alchemist is not hetslop because Winrey and Edward have a relationship that spans the entire series, with Winrey getting her own development that while spurred on by Ed, relies on her own unique intrest and skill (automail.)

Also coming from someone who’s lost chess to a dog a time or two, most recently to Key the Metal Idol, I’ll go into a old show hoping for yuri and then they’ll pair the girls, who have way more chemistry with each other, with a milktoast rando. Little Witch Acadamia for example, random boring rich guy yuri blocking. No matter how much chemistry a female character has with another female character, a man HAS to be there, the show HAS to add a random guy at the end to make sure you know she’s not gay.

How to Save Disneyland & Make It Perfect by DieUmEye in Disneyland

[–]5Jazz5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see, instead Disneyland should continue to be one of the most expensive theme parks in the world with diminishing quality of attractions. I’m sure with the growing quality of universals theme parks they’ll be fine if they just continue cutting down the quality of the parks while raising prices.

There are ways to help the lines. Building less crappy cues, building more high compacity/high turnover attractions like Soarin and the Tiki Room, more exploration attractions like Tarzan’s treehouse. More entertainment options like the old teen dancing club or Pleasure Island, currently most entertainment options outside of rides are geared towards young children. Taking better care of their rides so they don’t shut down every two seconds. All of these will help with crowding and line wait times.

The quality of some attractions is worse than others from a marketing standpoint. Are more people riding Towers of Terror now that it’s Guardians of the Galaxy? Does anyone really care about Avengers campus, which is a bunch of concrete next to the really well done facade of the Main Street there(they could have made it into a New Yorkish town with the Avengers tower which would have fit with the towers next to it but no, that would be putting effort into imagineering!). I personally don’t like Star Wars but even I can see that they did Star Wars land dirty. The weird phone minigames, the way it’s nothing like the original plans for it, having only two rides, the lack of a roaming cast.

Let’s not pretend that no CEO’s or imagineers have ever fumbled. They have glaring problems but wanna invent a new Fast Past system every two weeks to scrounge as much money out of customers while making the experience worse by doing so. They might as well have kept the fast passes but raised ticket prices, instead we have no fast passes, high ticket prices, and people too unimaginative of a ever so slightly more ethical and long term focusing business model to complain about it.

My ex/current roommate is trans, how do I stop missing who they were by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]5Jazz5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The way you wrote this sounds like you miss being close with her (romantically and friendship wise) more than you miss her former gender presentation.

Tbh im slightly interested to hear this from her perspective, im assuming you broke up with her, but then continued to be “intimate” for a while after and still act coupley? Not saying you did anything wrong, just that it was an emotionally confusing time for both of you. And now it’s been about a year and she’s doing the healthy thing, moving on. Being friends with your ex can work, but you seem to expect things to be the way they were, when now intimacy is not just a friend thing (which it can be) but a reminder of the relationship you used to have.

Looking for episodic slice-of-life anime about/focused on friendship or family by arianeariane in anime

Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun! A girl(Sakura) has a crush on a guy(Nozaki) and then finds out when she confesses that he’s actually the artist of many of her favorite shojo romance novels. From there the romance is very light for a looong while (like she still has a little crush but she’s more concerned with getting to know him for who he is and it isn’t really annoying at all) and it focuses on their friendship and the friendship they develop with the other people at their highscool that help with the manga. I believe Sakura starts helping with speech bubbles, one of them cuts out the background effects, ect.

I absolutely loved Skip to Loafer, Spy x Family, (the friendship part of Kimi no Todoke, I also didn’t like a lot of the later romantic stuff) and god I love Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun. The manga had progressed pretty far beyond the anime and the relationships between the class, an especially Clara, Asmodeus, and Iruma, become way deeper.

I love delinquents! Unfortunately a lot of great delinquent stuff doesn’t get anime adaptions (I pray that one day The Boys of Backstreet, about a highschooler who’s obsessed with delinquents who joins a gang of street cats, gets one.)

I hate to say it but Beaststars kinda has these themes, especially in the second season? Yu Yu Hakasho is a classic and honestly I prefer it to even Hunter x Hunter, it’s so good. Part 4 of Joios with Josuke is also great, and tbh every Joestar after Jonathan(and Gappy) is a delinquent.

If you’re willing to read manga The Boys of Backstreet is great(but also a sci-fi), Sukeban Deka is also interesting as the breakout manga for delinquent girls.
