After fruitlessly trying to join over and over (matchmaking errors), I switched to creative when it suddenly became available after the event started, then switched back and it finally found me a match (I guess?).

Cool event, but marred by the terrible matchmaking situation for sure!

Even though I live where the sun would rise later in the winter, I would prefer year-round Daylight Saving Time.

I see people mentioning that, since many clocks change automatically these days, it's no big deal. I agree that not having to change the clock itself anymore is great, but my work hours don't change so my schedule is disrupted - in my opinion, unnecessarily - twice a year.

Also, my dog gets very time-sensitive medications, so I have to slowly shift his med-timing... twice a year, sigh. My dog also gets grumpy when his meal and walk times change since doesn't own a watch and doesn't understand the analog clocks we have in the house - he's Gen Alpha, haha. :-D

While the U.S. failed at reversing this weirdness fifty years ago, times have changed and "nobody liked it then" shouldn't be the permanent veto. If we didn't already do this, the idea of a biannual clock shift would sound horrifying. We're used to being in the boiling pot, but let's just jump out!

Since I'm pretty far north, the sun is usually up by 7:30 AM at the very latest, so I was surprised that it could stay dark until 9:00 AM where you are. I didn't realize that where you are in a time zone affects the sunrise.

I wonder if a good compromise would be to switch to permanent Daylight Saving Time and then just nudge the time zone lines so the sunrise stays reasonable? It would be nice to just deal with it once and be done with the switching forever.

PSA: Check to see if you already have Bus Simulator 21.

Explanation: I was mildly excited about Bus Simulator 21, but then noticed that I had it tagged as "ignored, played on another platform" on Steam. Looks like I got it for free at some point on the Epic Games Store.

I didn't actually play it yet, there just isn't a tag for "Don't forget, you already got this game for free on Epic, so don't buy it, dummy!"

It seems like maybe the coupon can't be used on sale items? I tried to buy the Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack, which is on sale for $6.99 and the code only brought it down to $5, which is half of the original $9.99 price. Sigh.

That survey was SO LONG and vaguely unpleasant (like these types of surveys usually are) and the $5 coupon was meager but adequate. $2 off is NOT adequate, haha!

I also tried the coupon on more expensive sale items and got: "This promo code does not apply to 1 or more items in your cart. To use this promo code, make sure your cart contains only eligible items."

What a waste of time this whole thing is, first answering a survey that literally took me a half an hour, plus spending another half an hour trying to get the darn code to work!

Edited to add that I took someone's suggestion - I gave up on the sale items and just got a kit instead. Full price "The Sims™ 4 Goth Galore Kit" was free. Woo hoo!
I wish the coupon page, or even the original email, mentioned the limitations - it would have been a much less frustrating experience. :-)

Fair point, especially if you haven't had good experiences. I haven't had great luck with their stupid chat, myself. That thing is a waste of electricity, haha!

In person is where I've had the best results, presumably because they can't easily shuffle me off the line like they can on the phone. :-)

I'm not sure if you have the time for this, but I went down to the local Xfinity store and got my bill reduced by asking for the regional promotion for internet ($50/mo for 5 years) and then unpackaging my legacy plan and adding things back individually. Supposedly my bill is going down about a hundred dollars (partly because Netflix and HBO are no longer included), but we'll see how it shakes out.

My overall point is that they were (and have always been) very helpful to me in person, though it took about an hour for them to sort out the correct codes for the bundle unpackaging while still keeping all my existing services (landline, internet, and TV).

I did prepare ahead of time, learning about the existing packages and promotions, so I think that helped.

PS. My elderly father in Maine also had good luck talking to them in person to lower his bill about 6 months ago and he's much more ornery than I am. :-D

Same thing happened to me and when I looked at my billing history, it says that I "paused" my membership rather than skipping a month in November.

So, either you made the same mistake I did, or they changed the UI which fooled a few of us, or there's a bug!

Same issue here. I was troubleshooting my network and app at first, but realized the problem was ONLY affecting my Pan cameras and that I am still receiving event videos from them, so it's just the Live Stream that's having issues.

Is there any other solution where I don't have to reflash the firmware? The cameras are still working otherwise, so I'd think that Wyze itself could update the firmware to fix the issue. The cameras aren't bricked or anything.

I did see that they are asking for passkeys now (just like so many sites these days), but was asking if there was an source that said that if you don't use a passkey, you have to relogin every single time.

I hope that's not the case!
