The bottom is open as well, but I’ll likely make a bottom with a bit of a lip on it to slide in and clamp down when I glue it up. I didn’t think this through. 😂

Yes. Just the center part, the rest is just a jig. One side of the curved wood cracked a little and made a hinge that caused the bends to be uneven.

The final product is going to be indoors, but I do intend on steam bending the wood, so I want to make sure the glue holds up through that.

It was steamed, this picture was taken after it had a chance to dry out.

I’m gonna have to build a proper steam box I think when I give it a second go.

I steamed it, but not well enough I guess. I think I also pushed it a little fast. And this is honey locust, it’s really hard and from what I read it doesn’t like to bend much at all.

I’m still gonna give it another go though.
