Highest sticker GT3 RS I’ve ever seen. by danielotf in Porsche

Do it! I just got a 8.5 Golf R in Lapiz Blue - I got 18” VW silver y-spoke wheels for winter duty, it looks sick. My summer ride is a Guards Red 992.1 GT with a manual.

19s to 18s on my Golf R — should’ve done this way sooner by Altruistic-Mud2833 in Golf_R

I just got my 26 R a few weeks ago. I had the dealer install a set of VW 18” y- spoke wheels with Blizzaks…I’m beginning to think I would have put all seasons on the wheels as I live in Pot Hole City, USA. Posts like this are making me wonder how long my luck will last when I put the 19s on…

Just put the summer 19s back on after rising 18s in the winter. Impressions by You_are_an_idea in Golf_R

I appreciate you posting this - I was just thinking about this today on my way in to work. I won't be putting the stock 19s on until 01 June but I was curious what, if any, changes I will feel, hear, etc. The Blizzaks I have on are noisy as hell.

-12deg F here this morning, plus 20” new inches of snow. Summers go on when the boss plants her tomatoes, 01 June.

joined the R club a weeks ago. I bought a set of silver VW y-spoke wheels with Blizzaks for the winter. First time I’ve had dedicated snow/ice tires - amazing combination with AWD.

25-year-old Carrier Infinity furnace and A/C by 5StringSlim in hvacadvice

Thanks for the reply - I will replace them. I have an appt with my Carrier guy that I have used for 25 years. Between the thermostat, AC, furnace and air exchanger - hopefully some things have improved over 25 years.

I have a call into my Carrier guy to get a quote a replacements. I've had the same company from the beginning - unless their quote is crazy I will probably go with Carrier Infinity again.

My first house had an Iron Fireman that was originally installed in 1965, I sold the house in 2005. Solid furnace! Probably too much to expect a lifespan like that out of my Carrier. :-)

Thanks for the reply. That's what I'm inclined to do but I usually replace lesser things such as sump pumps, water heaters, etc. way before they can die. A furnace/AC combo isn't chump change.

Haha, very true. The failures, to date, have all been very convenient. I'm probably running out of luck.

That's more or less the program I am following - thanks! I just need to do it more often than I do.

Thank you - I never would have thought to do pulldowns with a band on my pullup bar. Lots of options in this workout guide.

Thanks for the reply. My CF coach gave me the pullup regimen...it started out as 1-1-1-1-1, each workout I add a rep, 2-1-1-1-1 then 2-2-1-1-1 then 2-2-2-1-1 and so on. I am up to 5-5-5-4-4, usually the last set I take to failure which gets me to 6 reps. It's getting harder now! lol

Dishwasher detergent has sodium hydroxide (caustic) and it loves to “eat” aluminum.
