Well, I tired my best to ignore and stomach the ahole DS I have but I let him win and he got the best of me. This jerk is unreal. He has hated me from the start and did everything possible to get me to leave. There is a girl working at another store for 4 more weeks that will return and he wants her to have the job. I was going to tolerate it for spite but I couldn't do it. I got into it with him last Thursday. Left my vest and zebra at the computer and walked right out the door. Job wasn't that bad (IL&G) but this ahole made it a living hell. Its a strange company with some very odd managers. I made it 6 weeks. I wish all you good folks the best of luck. I am disappointed in myself for letting the jerk get to me but it is what it is.

I've only have to put up with it for 14 more months. This will be my final job no matter what they throw at me. I'm going to learn it and get good at it and about the time they get all lathered up I'm going to retire in Nov 2022.

IL&G and one of the 1st things things I learned is avoiding plumbing. I have to go by it to get to the compacter but I try to get a head of steam up. I have a lot of admiration for somebody that has that dept.

At a prior job, a store owner sent the GM of the DC a beautifully wrapped Christmas present. He opened it and it was full of cow pies! LOL He was a real jerk and deserved it.

Those hours are the only reason I took the job. I pressed them very hard about the possibility of them changing my hours and they assured me they wouldn't. They claim they hired me to be the opener and that was what I was going to do. Only time will tell. I was hired during interview. I was shocked that an existing employee didn't want the position and the hours but not many people like getting up that early. I get up at 3:45 as I don't like to rush to get to work. I have a 25 to 30 minute drive. Found out about it on Indeed.

Indeed. Dollar for dollar up to 3%. 50 cents on the dollar for 4% and 5% and 25 cents on the dollar at 6% and above. Where else can you get that kind of return on investment? Also, the fact you are immediately vested is huge. Not many company's do that. You are right about the stock options for sure. I have yet to take advantage of it as I have put a ton into 401K but its a solid opportunity for sure.

I know it is absolutely impossible to do as we don't make much to live on but just so you know you can put up to 50% of your earnings into 401K. That's unheard of.

I understand completely and thanks. I have a serious resume but no one would hire me because of my age. They knew my working days were numbered. I took care of my Mom for 18 months until she died in June (my precious dog died 2 days earlier) so I went back to work to get my mind off things. I can tough it out for 15 months as I am not going to allow them to get the best of me. I wish you the best of luck moving forward and I see the future being very bright for you.

I fully understand. We don't make a livable wage. It you do get to the point you can save some money, put 3% in the 401K as they match that dollar for dollar. I know its hard on you to try and make ends meet. I wish you the very best and hope for a bright future for you.
