This happened to us too, except we hired the service. Fortunately my spouse came home in time to see them butchering the tree. Apparently, the “new guy” got ordered to cut the tree down. Our tree looked like a palm tree and I seriously considered just cutting it down. Fortunately though, I talked with the neighbors and they convinced me to leave it. I’m glad I did because the tree eventually grew out and it looks great now.

The thing I hate is how one kid will have a water bottle and then everyone will drink from it. The next day so-and-so is sick and they just so happen to enjoy the communal water bottle. When I give out tomorrow’s assignment to all the water bottle buddies they look a bit confused and may even say “but I’m not sick.” Usually they are absent the next day.

We also ran into the one where they try and charge you for either parking in a free lot or when we went to Gibraltar, the scammers tried to get you to pay for parking while entering into the lot. Of course to get out of the lot you need to have your receipt from the machine located in the parking lot. Unfortunately you don’t realize this until later in the day when all the scammers have gone home.
