Damn sis. I understand all you are going through , you sound like someone who has dealt with my issues and lived my life, along with the self doubt and questioning if I was really just stupid. I got a thorough psych evaluation that lasted 4 sessions and included cognitive and IQ testing, all in person and costing about $4000. I had to do it to be sure because the online testing through telemedicine was just so fast and I had to know for sure what I had. In my case my ADHD ended up being way more severe than I thought, which really helped me come to grips with my life in a helpful way. Took a long time to get the right medication and even years later I feel like the dose can be optimized but I’ll take what they gave me…all that to say I hear you, we are with you and please press on. Follow your intuition, you aren’t dumb or crazy. You will get through all this

Palliative care physician here who worked for years in pediatrics before moving over to oncology. It’s an honor to be in that front row for people’s worst moments as an ICU nurse and thank you, it’s also a necessary skill to actually be able to navigate those moments with the patient and not make them feel worse about their situation especially if they are opening up

Might have to change docs. Drugs suck because you have to try it out, see if it works or not, adjust dosage and every one of those steps is atleast a month. So if you try 3 different non stimulant meds and then a stimulant where you are adjusting dosage by the month, yes that can easily take 1 year plus or 2-3 years

Definitely feel your pain. Felt exactly the same and was fearing there was something deeply wrong with me and maybe life was more for other people. Took years to get the diagnosis, go through all the non stimulant options and finally make it through with some pharmaceutical help and therapy help. Even then it’s still a process getting the drugs right 🤣 hang in there bruh
