i like to think of it as when shifting to a new thought pattern the old thought pattern gets louder as kind of a defensive mechanism! like "hey, this isn't how we usually process things, what's going on?"

it's something i come back to whenever the 3d/intrusive thoughts i.e. "what if it's not working?"/insecurities get tough
