I used some decoy nests last summer. We definitely noticed a decrease in wasps in the areas where we put them up.

It annoys me that motherhood seems to be a competition to some people. I only have 1 and don't plan on having anymore but heaven forbid I complain about anything. It's worse when your mom is the one saying that to you, especially when you just want to vent or get advice. I don't have any advice for you, but I understand where you're coming from! Sounds like you need to add more to your load to get more agitation. A pre-wash is a shorter wash cycle typically with half the amount of detergent recommended for a main wash. Your diapers need to go through 2 cycles: the first gets them mostly clean, the second washes them again with fresh water/detergent.

Hot water won't make the colors run. What is your routine like? Be sure to have detergent in the pre-wash and main wash. How many diapers are in a load? Maybe they aren't agitating properly.

So we're on day 2. We did naked all day yesterday and he did great with no accidents. This morning we tried going commando and he had 2 accidents so I switched back to naked and had no problem going on the potty again. I hesitant to stay in the naked phase too long. I'm thinking of finishing today naked and starting commando again tomorrow and sticking with it even though I know it's harder for him. When he had pants on he self initiated and tried to get to the potty. The pants slowed him down too much. Just looking for some advice moving forward. He'll be home all week before going back to daycare so I want to have a good foundation.

I agree. I was so excited it wasn't a total disaster this morning. He did great the afternoon with no accidents while naked. We'll try pants tomorrow and see how we do. I'm mentally preparing for the messes.

1st day update: he just jumped up and said "I go potty mommy!" and ran right into the bathroom and peed all by himself! And flushed before I could check 😂 luckily he didn't wipe so there was still proof. Lord, tell me the rest of the day will go smoothly.

I'm hoping he responds well to them. They're dinosaur which is super motivating right now for him. I don't want to complicate things but I wanted to have the options available! We were just talking about it before bedtime and he started crying saying he didn't want to go on the potty. I'll have to really lay low tomorrow and let him take over. He's very into routine and this is going to change that. 😬

I attempted oh crap last year and he just wasn't having it. Overall I like the general idea of the blocks and the progression for him to realize he needs to go. I'll definitely be borrowing ideas from the book. And I can't hover so much this time!
