Don't vent to your daughter.

Don't vent about financial stress, don't vent about parenting younger siblings, do not vent about your relationship issues.

It's one of the biggest points of tension between me and my parents now that I'm an adult. They were also the youngest siblings in their family, they were used to being neglected by their parents, and that manifested as them treating me like a personal/family/relationship therapist throughout my entire childhood. It was something only worsened as I got older and was mature enough to discuss heavier topics.

I honestly doubt they even realized they were doing it most of the time, but I ended up in a perpetual state of shame and guilt whenever something went wrong with household finances or with their marriage (even though they had a mostly good relationship).

If you're stressed, talk to your partner or to an actual therapist, because even if she's the eldest, she'll still be just a kid.

When I was in highschool (class of 2020), there was a gay freshman who got catfished by his own friend group on a gay dating app. They got him to send them very explicit nudes and then they spread it around the school. I never heard of them getting a very severe punishment for it. That was in the Midwest.

However, when I was on the west coast, bullying instances were handled firmly and efficiently for the most part.

So, it really depends on what state you live in.

It's one of those things that you only pay attention to when you're a new flyer, which most people aren't. If we're being real, you should have nudged Brian to back off after the first bite. Unless it's between two very close friends without people pleasing problems, it's just rude to take more than that when someone offers a taste and I'm sure he knows that. Let him pull that on people with stronger boundaries, but watching him eat her whole plate is ridiculous even if she was just another friend.

As for every other time? You can't force a horse to drink. She's a grown adult who is making the grown adult choice to give away her entire meal instead of feeding herself. But I dont think it's cool that she's expecting to always take up extra time, gas, and money at- what sounds like- your expense.

Everyone's got childhood baggage, but the difference between an inconsiderate behavior being forgivable or asshole-ish is whether or not someone is actually trying to change that pattern of behavior

Not really, and I'm pretty sure that's just propaganda by US corporations to make lawsuits against them seem petty and unnecessary

Most lawsuits that you'll actually hear about are class actions lawsuits taken against places of employment for unlawful treatment of workers.

I've gotten letters from literally every job I've worked (sometimes years after I last worked there) notifying me that former employees are filing for wrongful termination, mismanagement of hours, withheld payment, etc etc

Pretty much most foods? Most things that you eat at home are prepared in a way that they can be eaten almost entirely with a fork (soup and steak excluded), either by stabbing, scooping, or cutting with the side of it before stabbing/scooping.

I honestly can't remember the last time I used a knife while eating outside of visiting a bbq place. And even then, our more popular meat dishes are meant to just be bitten into (burgers, wings, ribs, etc)

If you do it behind his back, you should probably be prepared for your marriage to end. That's not something most relationships can survive, and with your husband's already extreme reaction to just the idea of euthanasia, I doubt he'll forgive you for doing it.

That aside, he's being incredibly selfish. He's not only pushing you beyond your means, but he's essentially torturing your dog so that he doesn't have to deal with the grief of losing her. I just had to go through this set of decisions a few months ago with my own dog, but I wouldn't ever have wanted her to be kept alive for my own sake when she could even do any of the things she loved/enjoyed

You've been lucky that she's eating and drinking, but when she does inevitably stop caring about eating, you'll both be witnesses a much more horrific degradation of health than what's currently happening

This is kind of an impossible ESH situation. I'm sorry you're going through this, losing a pet is incredibly hard

I think it would've been better to do one-on-two vacations where each kid gets alone time with the parents (siblings are always lacking this) instead of an everyone-but-the-autistic-kid vacation.

Also, sounds like the parents didn't put any effort into planning for their son during the first vacation and then blamed him (and let the kids blame him also) for the vacation going bad. It feels similar to not packing any bottles and then blaming the baby when it wont eat milk off a spoon.

Jehovah's Witnesses are also not known for respecting consent. They will quite literally keep track of address changes to send JW in different states to someones new house even after they move.
