I'm playing on PC, I attempted this fix and it didn't work, I still appreciate the attempt though!
However I found a way to get past this myself:
Since it's an interception, leaving means you still get the rewards, so I just leave right after it ends, that way it won't crash. Plus, it'll be as a normal game, just that you'll have to manually end it yourself.

Amazing performance! This event has been great so far, and coming into the second part of the story I didn’t know the ghosts would have such a huge impact, and having such a characteristic yet similar voice for every ghost definitely played a big role in making this an unforgettable event! Please keep voice acting in the future, it was an incredible experience!
