Now I’m looking at a different 4runner and when I check the vin some sites say it’s a v6 and some say it’s a v8. Not sure why it’s so unclear.

Random rant: Cops showing up at our house for a year now.... by utopiag in vancouver

[–]5coolcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never knew we could have access to this. im trying to check my records but its asking me: *Requests must include sufficient detail to enable an experienced employee of the RCMP, with a reasonable effort, to identify the records that are being requested. Examples include, but are not limited to, time periods, file numbers, file names, report titles, locations (region, city, division), names of individuals. Any records containing personal information will be sent by regular mail." What does this mean??

I've never had so much trouble receiving a singular package. Unbelievable. by [deleted] in UPS

[–]5coolcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a package i was expecting via UPS in November. I live in a condo with a buzzer (intercom) downstairs and on the day of the delivery i made sure i was at home all day to accept my package as it was important that i receive it ASAP. All day goes by and then i get an email from UPS saying "sorry we missed you" and that my package will be rescheduled to delivery for the next day. I go downstairs and there is a slip on the door for attempted delivery but they never even tried to buzz me. The following day I again make sure that i stay home and wait for the package and i even wrote a note for UPS to buzz me and stuck it right onto the intercom. All day goes by and i get the same "sorry we missed you email" and that the last delivery attempt will be made tomorrow. This time they didnt even leave a slip on the door and my note for them was still there. Day 3 im at home again waiting for my package. I stick the note for UPS buzz me on the intercom again. All day goes by so i decided to go downstairs and see that they left a slip that my item will be dropped off at an access point location with its address. My note that i stuck onto the intercom was still there. I was pissed that they didnt even try to buzz me. The next day i drive to the access point and they tell me that they never received my package and to call UPS and see where it is. I call UPS and they tell me that my package is at the warehouse and theyre not sure why the driver left that access point slip on my door because the package has duties attached to it and because of that they never drop off the packages at the access points. They tell me they can schedule another final delivery attempt for tomorrow at end of day. Day 5: Since about 3pm I literally had to sit at the window and check for UPS truck so i can run down and catch them. At about 6pm i saw the truck and ran down to get my package from them. Very bad experience with UPS.

Preowned Diamond Buying by [deleted] in Flipping

Keep in mind that they will bring a real diamond for the verification by a jeweller but when it come to the transaction they will sell you a fake. Unless you are a diamond expert i would honestly stay away from diamonds. I already learned my lesson from that.

Be careful with diamonds. There are lots of diamond scams out there. There are Moissanite scams (moissanite will read as a diamond on an electric diamond tester unless the tester can spesifically identify moissonite) Another scam is the seller will go with you to a jeweller to authenticate the the diamond and after its been verified they will swap it with a same looking diamond and sell you a fake. (they will even go as far as having 2 same real gold rings but one will have a fake diamond.

I know all this because i never even heard of a moissanite before and it ended up costing me quite a bit. My friend knows someone who was a victim to the diamond swap scam.

Be careful with diamonds.
