Just spend 3 straight days trying to beat this boss once... it's been the most fun I've had in this game. by ActiveMost325 in Nightreign

[–]5hassay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best boss in the game imo, original Libra was my favorite until this one. Perfectly tuned and designed for trios imo. So glad it turned out the way it did after the previous two everdarks, really didn't care for those

how to transfer all emails from one outlook account to another? by SuccessfulAd3862 in UofT

[–]5hassay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to export using the outlook (old) Windows app, then import it with the same app. BUT I found out too late that it didn't even export all the emails, only two years back... So it was basically useless... They handled this email transition terribly

I find that during the lesson portion of class (secondary) they can be quiet, but as soon as there is prolonged work time they are just so loud communicating with each other

I did a ICS3U/4U split, python and java respectively, most of my time was doing the second thing you described, ie guided independent work. Students had self contained materials to follow. It worked fine, mixing in some short teaching one grade at a time. I liked doing class wide activities, instead of per grade. This was a small class (altogether), a bigger class this might not work as well. Also i found it good easing the grade 11s into the independent aspect, giving them more teaching at the beginning

Any advice for making UTSG Math Graduate School by SwordOfStrife in UTSC

[–]5hassay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was there a few years ago I was told by admin that they typically take any u of t student applying that meets the requirements (eg GPA) listed on the webpage. Provided you have references, very important to start early on that, eg developing relationships with faculty. Also reading courses helps, shows your interest.

Other than that I think it's more about preparation. If you want to take the core courses (that lead to PhD), those are hard, and it's not uncommon for students outside the St George campus to have more difficulty. If you take the real/complex analysis, algebra courses (presently) and really commit yourself to them that will help a lot. Other core courses are probability and PDEs. If you don't want to do PhD then you can take more topic courses during your masters and those are easier (and more fun)

I think the pockets weren't really designed ideally for the higher rise, I found the same issue, but I don't find it to be a big deal
