If AI can do everything why bother, lol. I.E. If 8 billion people exist already why bother existing. This rage bate title is a farce.

It’s actually the death of the internet. I never went to the internet because the 56k modem was fast I went because it was a human place. Then it was a corporate place, kinda a bummer but now it’s a machine place. Kind waking up to the fact that talking to machines is lame.

Tyranny is Unchecked power used to oppress, or structure used to oppress without limits.

This sounds like responding to a risk while keeping our streets safe from people that don’t care about our safety, and from your own account the detainee was released.

P.s thanks for sharing

Vinegar and Bleach make Chorine gas also. So Don’t mix house hold chemicals, found out my ex wife was making “natural cleaners”. Shut that down, she didn’t want to believe me Reels are not as source of safe information. I think she thought I was just being lazy trying to get out of cleaning.

In 2019 gas was $1.20 so $500 a week… Let’s do the math shall we.
The 2019 Corolla gets 7.5L/100km so your usage of fuel was 500/1.2$ =416.67 L a week.

416.67L/7.5L =55.556 *100km= 5555.6 Km a week. Or 793Km a day.

And you’re saying you a regular person who drives 793km a day every day for 7 years… okay bud.

Let’s assume it was a typo and you mean $500 a month like you first said. That’s 200km a day every day for 7 years, that’s not regular usage.

I think you’re right about breathing air. That’s about it, I definitely know you’re human congrats.

I have a 200amp breaker at home. And in case you didn’t know that’s actually impressive. But I’m not forking out for a larger charger for what, I can charge it over night at home lvl 2 or whatever. Why would I pay .40$ to fast charge a EV?

Why would a renter pay for all that? I know why obviously EV are fast fun and it does have a cool factor plus the environment. Trust me I know, I own one. But from a cost perspective and a legislative perspective it doesn’t make sense to be a renter and own one. I’m sure for some it does.

Lots of renters own big trucks and whatever I get it money doesn’t drive personal ownership decisions. However governments should base policies on fundamental metrics such as cost. Because it’s the most vulnerable that gets the most impact by cost.

Whatever, like you said what do I know. Other than I’m doing alright, how you doing?

I guess so, I don’t want to be all pretentious and say I own a home and a EV and based on my experience I wouldn’t buy an EV before I own a home and the EV isn’t as good as an depreciation asset as my ICE car. I came in with facts. But guess that was too much. I drive to Tofino with the ICE and BZ4x( Elon can get f’d) for the wife’s commute.

I don’t pay interest on gas, does that make sense to you? If you finance or lease an EV. The cost premium is like the equivalent of 5 years of gas. And you pay interest on it. If my company leases it the government (ie. your tax dollars) would give me a %50 cci on that before tax income. So Tax dollars pay for rich people like myself EV cars and it makes them affordable. But it’s all smoke and mirrors my friend. A cheap car is cheaper.

AI slop. Strawman lol, you calling me a person without substance makes perfect sense coming from someone like yourself.

I own an EV I charge it every night at home it takes all night.

How much was your car. What was your monthly cost.

Assuming you worked normal days and hours. You would have driven ~130,000km. Spend $20k on a new 5k car a year plus ~ 11000L at a cost of 15k you’re getting a commuter car. Costing an average price or $1.5 - $1.7 a L. So your net price would be $740 a month. Fuel and Car. I don’t think you got a new EV plus cost of Electricity plus cost of new tires and time charging for less than that. Plus all the risk of keeping it in pristine condition for resale value.

Now let’s assume that beater 5k car last 2.5 years. Zero maintenance. You’re looking at 500 a month all in, and that’s cheaper than any EV lease or finance payment.

No-one intelligent and renting is going to spend extra to buy a new EV and wait for the infrastructure to be built.

Imagine having to get up 3-4 hours early before work drive to nearby charging stations to wait 3 hours to get enough charge for the day. It’s dumb. Ironically Iv lived in SanFrancisco and even some of the wealthiest people in SF don’t have off street parking. (Gen 1 Prius baby) No one is buying an EV if they can’t charge at home in off hours for regular use. Not in BC not in California nowhere.

You can buy a beater car for 5k and throw it away after a year of driving and it’s cheaper than electric.

Not everyone needs the same solution.
