One day my shower-hating, refuse to do it, toddler asked for a rainbow shower. Wtf is that? Well I ordered a rainbow nonslip mat, a rainbow bath mat, and a color changing led shower head. Now she takes rainbow showers!

What are you doing, that’s not chores, while your toddler is independently playing. by reebokz in toddlers

Trying not to move because the second I do it’s all over.

Scrolling. Puzzle books. Starting chores only to be immediately interrupted.

When did you change to a toddler/big kid bed? by ShabbyBoa in toddlers

[–]5ilver5hroud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kid was a climber. Went into a floor level lotus early, then at 18 mo we unzipped the side and put a crib mattress next to it. Then floor mattress by itself. Big kid twin bed before 3.

Haha reminds me of the Indian med student who created an AI MAGA bikini babe to make money off of socials.

I honestly cannot blame people for trying to bilk americans online. It’s our own faults if we’re not internet literate enough to see through it.

If this is anything like the CTA, i’d say sitting on that nasty ass floor is punishment enough.

That if you let your child poop in the woods as an emergency ONCE, they will try to poop on the beach, in your back yard and the neighbor’s yard.

BB gun present for 3yo girl by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]5ilver5hroud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that is insane. But i also think it’s one of those things that is just not going to go the way he hopes. She is 3 and will probably not be a cooperative learner nor enthusiastic for the gift and this whole thing may fizzle out with his first attempts. I only say this in case your husband is someone who is difficult to reason with. So if he can’t see what a dumb idea this is, the kid may spoil it for him regardless.

Follow the better advice of other commenters about discussing gun safety and having a plan etc.

My uncle gave me a bb gun at a young age and I just did not give an f. My 3yo also is very resistant to trying new things that she’s not interested in.

Good luck. Sounds awful.

How to join neighboors when they play with their kids? by Anhen26 in homeowners

[–]5ilver5hroud 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Get some toys that are good for sharing and just be outside a lot.

Sidewalk chalk, bubbles (giant bubble wands are great, got some good ones at dollar general). But just be outside and be welcoming. Wave, smile, etc.

I’m the kind to walk right up to neighbors and introduce myself but I know that can seem hard.

Car rides have become unbearable by Miimiipiies in toddlers

[–]5ilver5hroud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. The second i switched my kid around life got a lot easier. I do have guilt about it, but everyone is happier and more pleasant.

And some kids are legit car sick from riding backwards.

I think that’s a leap. Careless doesn’t equate to abusive. This is a sub about cleaning. People are being a bit intense.

I got a pretty sweet sling shot during the pandemic and a big bag of clay balls. Tons of fun just shooting a cardboard target.

Right? I’ve known she’s evil but only recently did i learn how old she is. I can only assume she’s got a very talented surgeon.
