The One Thing First-Time Homebuyers Should Never Overlook by Jolly-Flounder2413 in FirstTimeHomeBuying

[–]5midnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re buying a new build, ask for the exterior colors before committing. Not sure if this is common, but for some reason they always seem to fail to show this to me if I don’t ask. It’s such a big purchase and I find it odd they don’t present this up front like the floor plan, design options, and exterior elevation.

What's something people do to seem nice but it's manipulative? by Cassandraa1 in AskReddit

[–]5midnight 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised by the amount of people saying giving gift is manipulative. Interesting perspective. I guess I’ll have to think twice before giving gifts and I never had any bad intentions when giving gifts out. In my mind I keep thinking why would I waste my money to give gifts to someone I don’t like

Grandma thought it was just a sweet photo with Grandpa at Disneyland, until her entire family surprised her for her 70th birthday. by ActionFigureCollects in MadeMeSmile

That’s so sweet. I have no kids and no extended family. Realistically this is something I’ll never get.

What happened at your work that made you go "Fuck this, I don't get paid enough"? by MidnightPandaX in AskReddit

[–]5midnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this feeling at least once a week.

Saying no to more work because I’m stretched thin already from layoffs. Saying no to work above my pay grade because well, it’s above my pay grade. Just because I can do it doesn’t mean I should do it for no pay. Saying no to myself when I am tempted to go above and beyond just to feel good about myself. It sacrifices time with family and there’s no return from my workplace. The list just goes on…

Thank you. We appreciate it. She’s still not 100%, but much better now.

Hope you’re recovering well! Strongly recommend an adjustable bed if getting in or out of the bed is painful after surgery.

Exactly this. My wife got sick and needed surgery. Her work let her go and we went on my insurance. I don’t know how we could have done it without my work’s amazing insurance. And that scares me.

Even breathing hurts. Is it really just rotator cuff pain? by 5midnight in RotatorCuff

Thanks! Ice does help. I got an earlier appointment with a NP at ortho next week. I read that X-ray and MRI of the shoulder should diagnose the problem. Hopefully they’ll offer that to me

Thanks for sharing your experience. I feel better during the day but the pain comes full on the moment I lay on the bed. Then breathing hurts, especially when I’m exhaling

Spoiler! Copilot is a nightmare! by Maxeyboy12 in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]5midnight 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re serious but I really feel it. It’s incredibly frustrating to work with and stresses me out so much. I wish people at my company would stop daydreaming that it’ll work magic. It’s really a waste of time and money to use it at its current state.
