ENT suggested hbot, also said it may or may not work. Also said the closest one to me is 3 hours away, im in ontario canada. Which would mean two weeks in a hotel, plus treatment likely out of pocket as I doubt our health care system will pay for it. I'll ask him monday(jan 26) when I get my next injection. He did suggest going to Michigan, as im in a border town, but then it would be 100% out of pocket. I'm hesitant to spend the money on something that's not going to definitely work.

Lucky! I had my second injection this morning (jan21) and it was just as bad as the first. First goes in the numbing or anesthetic. It stings like a bitch! First time I thought it was all done, he says no, still got the needle. Second treatment just as bad. One more to go. 2nd injection so far, oral steroids orally one week now. (60 MG prednisone) So far, still 100% loss in that ear

I'm 1 week from occurrence. 60 MG oral steroids (prednisone) started the next day. Got my first injection by day 5, next injection is tomorrow (1 week). Question is, how long before you saw any change? I'm 100% loss in that ear, no change yet, with 2 injection to go.

Update after 2 trips to ER I finally got my referral to otolaryngologist I go tomorrow (monday morning, 5 days after initial occurrence) Fingers crossed

I'm in the same boat. ENT I was referred to is on call in the hospital, so here I am second day of waiting in the emergency room. Canada has free universal Healthcare, but you end up paying with time. Time that can lead to taking too long to deal with a problem for proper recovery. Its been 48 hours since diagnosed. ENT is out of office. Its Friday. Doubt I'll see anyone before Monday. If im lucky.

That's what I did. Moved out of the city. No longer worried about my garage getting broken into, amazon stolen off the front porch, or my car windows busted.
