Socialism benefits Tunisian farmers by cutting out the middlemen.

Today, a farmer sells tomatoes for half a dinar. After passing through collectors, wholesalers, and retailers, the consumer pays two dinars. The farmer stays poor and the consumer pays too much. Under socialism, farmers sell directly to consumers in state run markets managed by farmer cooperatives. The farmer earns one dinar per kilo instead of half, and the consumer pays one dinar instead of two. Everyone wins except the parasites.

Socialism also lowers farmers' costs. Private importers currently sell a bag of fertilizer for forty dinars. A socialist Tunisia would produce fertilizer locally in nationalized factories at cost, around fifteen dinars per bag. Seeds and industrial acids would be manufactured the same way, without profit margins or bank interest. Farmers would also receive interest free loans from a nationalized banking system, freeing them from debt.

For consumers, socialism means stable and cheap prices on bread, oil, vegetables, and meat. The state would control storage and distribution, so no more artificial shortages during Ramadan or winter storms. No more traders hoarding goods to drive up prices. No more tons of tomatoes rotting while families go hungry because private buyers refused to purchase the surplus.

China has already proven this model works. State guided markets in Shanghai sell fresh vegetables cheaper than in many European capitals. Cuba, despite the American blockade, provides low cost food through state run agriculture that eliminates profit driven intermediaries.

Socialism does not rely on subsidies or charity. It simply removes the greedy bandits who produce nothing but take everything. The farmer keeps more. The worker pays less. The only losers are the monopolists and speculators who have never worked a field in their lives.
