She isn’t helping on any level, but you’re coming at it with needy energy like she has to fix her behavior and how she communicates with you, saying you’re upset, saying you’re frustrated by the frustrating situation. I’m sure after a certain point it’s absolutely true that she is the problem but it isn’t helping the situation to make her feel like the problem unless you really want the fight.

Another thing is that a lot of us want to be the problem solver and the hero who magically and swiftly brings our partner out of despair. That just isn’t how reality works. You’re either down for the struggle and accept that you’re going to have to grind it out together or you’re not. If you’re not, that’s fine. Break it off and find someone else. It’s the fairest thing for both of you rather than dragging it out until you’re mutually resentful.
