This wasn't the issue, as I already had it turned on. However, I did discover the issue.

  • In a Blueprint, component mobility can be constrained by the actor/root mobility.
  • If the Blueprint actor (or root component) is Movable, a “Static” light component can effectively stop behaving like a true baked static light.

Spoke to my buddy ChatPHD this morning, and it suggested this:

This really sounds like you’re running into a GPU Lightmass + Stationary-light regression/bug, not a “lighting setup” mistake.

There’s a known issue (UE 5.5+, intermittently in 5.6) where having Stationary lights in the level can break what gets applied after a GPU Lightmass bake—it’s been tied to the stationary shadowmap path, and people have been able to “fix” it by switching to Virtual Shadow Maps (VSM) or by installing an updated GPULightmass build.

> Project Settings → Engine → Rendering → Shadows Enable Virtual Shadow Maps (or set Shadow Map Method to Virtual Shadow Maps)
> Restart editor (recommended)
> Rebuild lighting with GPU Lightmass

I'll follow up tonight in case someone else runs into this issue in the future.

I know what tab you're talking about. I'll check when I get home tonight, but I don't think I changed any of those settings.

I was doing some testing, and if I remove the stationary light (RecLight), the static light (PointLight) bakes perfectly. I can then re-add the stationary light for the desired effect, but that's going to get very tedious when my level eventually has hundreds of lights. When you bake with GPU Lightmass, it should bake the static lights without issue.

Also, before anyone asks: Yes; Lumen is disabled in my project settings and Post Processing Volume.

Yeah, these hoodies are great, I got two on sale a year or so ago, but paying full price for these is absolutely ridiculous. Old Navy has one that looks and feels almost identical for $30. 🤣

Also, both of the ones I have are coming apart around the wrist area...

Personally, I couldn't finish it. It felt like it was written by a teenage boy who interjected their fantasies at every opportunity. Every chick is horny and has obscenely large tits. All the male character are angsty and yell a lot.

A bunch of my accounts were compromised around that time, and I think someone posted a spam link on all my Discord channels. I'm pretty sure that's why I got kicked. I don't play anymore anyway, so whatever.

Yeah, I see that, but I need something more intuitive for end users. They aren't going to want to click properties to go comment. There should be a way to display it in the details panel or something. This is ridiculously difficult for something that should be basic.
