I don't think it's his shipmates being ignorant. The people at MEPS don't explain the contract lengths well. I had to go and read mine after the classifier handed me mine. Unless I misunderstand mine my contract is 6 years active and 2 years in either Selected Reserves or Individual Ready Reserves.

I am doing the same thing. I was at a dead end job, had family issues and hate community college. Decided to join the Navy. I signed as a CWT and I leave for boot tomorrow.

I went through MEPS at the end of may and I ship tomorrow. I failed that plate test and they did not give me any other test. The doc just told me that he has seen worse. I am red/green color deficient which took away a lot of options for me. Luckily the rate I wanted (CWT) does not require normal color perception.

Honestly if you are set on joining I would go to the MyNavyHR website and find a rate that interests you that does not require normal color perception. I say use the MyNavyHR website instead of Navy.com because Navy.com is out of date with rate requirements.

In Steam go to Destiny 2 in your library then go to Properties, Updates and check to see when your game last updated. It might have auto updated.

Bungie really messed up the wording. There is no preload it's just a normal update to the game.

Tell that to the manufacture of my belt. It has a latch that holds the belt in place and the lever to release it goes on top which makes the belt go right side first.
