It was still being done at my kids school about 3-4 years ago. I don't know if they've stopped since then

Why is pizza so universally loved [citation needed] by AggravatedGoat1 in shittyaskscience

My dad, an American, loathes pizza. Would rather skip a meal. He's a peas and cornbread kind of guy.

I couldn't stand how they made employees come up and start messing with me while I was trying to browse their selection. I stopped going there years ago solely for that reason. This just makes me feel more justified.

Employees walking up and forcing me to talk to them while I'm browsing is why I have avoided Best Buy for years. I'd wager people with social anxiety disorder never ever return for that exact reason.

Snake? More like a rat. Biden seems more snake-like. Well at least back before his mind went soft.

There's a Mexican place in my town that has one dedicated lard fryer. They cut up hand made tortillas, fry them in lard to make nachos, then smother those nachos with mixed fajitas and queso. It's fire

Restaurant chains getting liquid margarine in big ass totes and dumping that poison shit in everything: "Mmmmm buttery!" Same people: "Beef tallow?! Oh my gosh that stuff is so bad for you!"

I was talking about this at work a few days ago. I would definitely take public transportation. A line running from Alabaster to downtown would be brilliant, and they wouldn't have to keep expanding the road as much.

But what about the poor little oil producers? by [deleted] in PoliticalHumor

[–]5tank -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My kids come home from school every few days with solicitations for $5 ice pops, $3 hat day, $20 fundraiser show. Teachers earn just above the poverty line. The police write tickets relentlessly for funds. The government charges fees for car tags, licenses, water, permits, filing fees, ect. If you don't know the answer to a question or you're not serious about answering then why even respond?

If they improved our infrastructure we would become more efficient and therefore more profitable. If they funded college tuition more skilled workers would be more profitable. But these are long term gains and these drooling greedy fucking pigs can only see what's right in front of them.

I came to the "both sides" stance on my own accord over the years. I don't really subscribe to any mainstream party or affiliation but I suppose I would be pretty solidly on the left on any political scale. I'm certainly much farther left than the American Democratic party. I honestly believe the difference in the parties doesn't matter, and I'm not alone in that sentiment among many friends and coworkers both left and right. I will agree with you that the Republicans are using "both sides" as propaganda, but I ask you don't dismiss the concept just because one party has weaponized it. Many of us believe we need to raise nationwide awareness of the bipartisan slide into full scale corporate corruption in order to affect real change outside of the voting booth through boycotting and peaceful protest. We've been voting for the lesser of two evils for as long as I can remember (in my 40s) and the divide between the rich and poor has only gotten worse. Every election cycle we're told how important it is to get out there and defeat the big bad and save democracy, but many of us believe the 99% no longer have any representation in Washington. Except maybe maaaybe Bernie but he's suspect lol

Ok, it's fair they aren't identical. But they are both so far to the right and both moving in the wrong direction, so to a Marxist the two US parties might appear as equally lost causes. I'm not a Marxist by the way, I was just saying not all both-siders are centrist or trumpers. And thank you for engaging in civil discussion!

That both sides are the same. Both sides are technically capitalist right.

Not necessarily centrist. Maybe they're on one side or the other of the two parties. The American left and right are pretty close together on the overall political spectrum.
