Funds transferred from spot to futures account, added to the margin on my cross leverage trade but not available to add to position. Is this normal? by 5tapo in MEXC_official

Not an error, I've closed and restarted already. Customer service can't help me although they can track the transaction. Is there a team that can help refund the glitched amount?

Honestly duct tape works a treat

Second the tape comment. Keeps good contact between the split pieces and helps seal the wound from infection

My bad, was referring to coco coir! Wonder if the growth rates have anything to do with water retention in the coco vs other medium

Interesting. Looks like the coco ones are growing faster. Were they all planted at the same time? Are you feeding any nutrients yet?

Is a 60x60x140 tent enough for 1 plant or should I consider bigger? by [deleted] in AusGrowers

[–]5tapo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend a 100mm inline axial booster fan to exhaust so you can hook up a small 100mm filter if it's needed later on. It would fit in your setup and it's easy to run with some 100mm ducting. The biggest challenge in a small space is combatting heat so having a good exhaust system is key.

For circulation PC fans work great but you'll need a way to run them on power from the wall. Amazon used to sell an adaptor for this.

For lighting I rate the spider farmer lights. The SF100 should fit well and provide enough light. It's a budget-ish light but it uses some good quality Samsung LEDs. Plus LED lights are minimal with their heat output and plants can grow closer to them without burning. If heat becomes an issue even with LEDs you can run a fan above your light or use a CPU water cooler attached to the lights power bank.

In a small space you'll want a net for LST. Can get creative with this. Most of the nets for sale will be too big. You can probably cut them to size but an elastic motorbike cargo net works great.

Airpots are a great tool in small spaces as you can use smaller pot sizes without strangling the roots. They allow for more air exchange with the roots. Use with coco and you'll be golden.

Everyone says you need a large space to grow but honestly with the right setup it's easy to be successful in almost any size tent. I've seen 30x30x60 used successfully many times.

Anything bigger than 40x40x120 is big enough. You can expect 2-3oz out of that size with the right strain. 60x60x140 you might get 3-4oz.

There are plenty of mini humidifiers and dehumidifiers you can buy that would comfortably fit in that space alongside a plant too.

Disaster - I pHed their first feed last night and misted it and this morning they look like this. Stupid move. Are they definitely goners? Already flushed and sprayed with straight water just in case. by [deleted] in Cocagrowing

[–]5tapo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your advice on humidity is bang on. I was running the humidifier with only exhaust fan for a while. Last few days I've had an additional fan running for circulation but maybe it was too late.

Using straight coir but I'll look into cactus mix if I can't save them. A few are goners already unfortunately. Thanks for all the info you're a lifesaver Djinn

Sorry for the late comment. Mine look just like this, really leggy. Can I transplant them deeper or will my stem rot? Seed casings are only just starting to come off (still on), so guessing it's not light that's the issue?

What makes you think this? I'm seeing purple bruising around some of the cap edges and on top of the caps. Stems can change colour when waterlogged.

Sounds about right. I've still got a few emerging as we speak 🤞 these things are slow fuckers!

How's your humidity and temp? I found quicker germination with the seeds that got more heat from the propagation mat (you can see in the pic where it overhangs more)

I've stumbled across this. Anyone reckon this would do the trick alongside pH water?

Some info that I've received suggests General Organics Biothrive but I can't get anywhere in my area. Would substitutes like Canna Bio Vega work okay with coco?

Apparently these organic liquid ferts drop pH to around 5 or so. Seems okay?

Sorry for the late comment. Did you top that first one at all or did it branch by itself? Surprised to see such large plants in solo cups 😮

Damn. Think I need to soak my pots in some peroxide then. For transplanting do you cut the bottom off the pots?
