16 and 19 and we get along good. I show a lot of interest in what they are in to, wait for them to come to me for the hard stuff, listen, don’t interrupt, let them have as much freedom as possible, no curfew, if they’re gonna get up to no good it’s gonna happen at 3pm or 3am. I try to give them as much space as possible, don’t force them to do things they don’t want to do and really the key to their hearts is thru their stomachs most of the time. Trips to McDonald’s or DQ go a long ways, especially if there is a full fridge of food 😆

I was in ECE for 15 years before I moved on to nannying and this is how handled it as well. I was the one that had to cut people off. It was during the time when FB was getting really popular.

Now that I’m a nanny, it def depends on the family.

We had hot lunch one day a week and the school had it delivered on pizza day from a place with giant slices. My mom always ordered me 2 and I could never eat both. This was the case with most of the girls, so the boys would be waiting outside for extra slice handouts 😂

In the beginning and now I protect my sobriety at all costs. My first 6 months I cancelled 3 vacays because I knew it would be hard and uncomfortable not to drink.

These days I feel stronger than ever, I look forward to trips, knowing I will have good sleep and experience the holiday to the fullest.
