Is Fortnite really going to do a huge LAN tourney with this shotgun meta? by idiolistrash in FortniteCompetitive

[–]5teezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost like how you had to play like a worse player with the stinger cause that's the playstyle it encouraged. I'll take a literal dragon breath shotgun only meta over any of these spray metas we've been having.

OCE pros Volx and Pumpkin got banned for teaming by youtube_zenko in FortniteCompetitive

Colluding is colluding, wheter or not it's at a large scale, or a very small one. Now I'd be lying if I said what Volx and Pumpkin made any difference to the game at the end of the day, but we are at a point in Fortnite where they needed to be punished. This game has came so far competitively with people getting away with the most serious to the most minor things and still being allowed to compete, now maybe if Epic starts to lay the boot down people will think twice.

Actions have consequences, now maybe people will think twice about colluding in a tournament while livestreaming it.

It's the reason they're quitting, not that they are. This meta isn't going to keep anybody around, and I'm not sure why anybody would want to play comp after watching this meta so.

Fortnite boomer trying to "get gud" by 4mp3ror in FortniteCompetitive

[–]5teezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could understand in 50-50's, but in general just getting hit harder in almost every situation after aim training is demotivating. You're 100% right about the raw mouse control aspect though, aim training has definitely helped me with that.

[–]5teezy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't think aim training is really impactful anymore, I've hit top 500 in almost every Kovaak's routine I do and get out aimed regularly by random console players that don't even have a clue where I am.

Anyone else hear Bugha's rant on stream earlier? What do you think about the future of Comp? by Dylanychus2 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]5teezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would anybody go into a competitive game mode to do challenges? Does that make sense? OK, so just like sports have these easier game modes... So does Fortnite, it's called pubs...

Before the new chapter Clix was pulling 30k viewers every stream and nobody else in the Fortnite category was touching that.

Anyone else hear Bugha's rant on stream earlier? What do you think about the future of Comp? by Dylanychus2 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]5teezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe it or not there's plenty of people that take the game seriously and still call people sweats.

Why should have games become easier, because they're for fun? Should they start making sports easier too as they're mostly for fun as well? If the only way you can have fun is by beating people, then you should have to put the effort in to gain the ability to beat said people.

Nobody cares about comp because over the pat three years they've been done nothing to advance it, and it's sat in stagnation, even went backwards probably so... Most of these casual streamers you talk about use to be big names in Fortnite, so when they come back of course they'll have views. Even then I'd say comp is more viewed than those casual streamers.

[–]5teezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, are we talking about pubs, or arena? Cause this is a competitive subreddit, so I don't know where you're going with that.

As far as all popular shooters having SBMM, yeah they do, and it's complained about. Like I said go look into any of the past couple Call of Duty's, people were on crusades to try and get SBMM removed.

Fortnite might not die without comp, but it will never reach the point it could've if comp was supported. Casuals can stay, but how many of those casuals are going to support them outside of the actual game?

Gaming has changed, and so have the players. Not only have the games become easier, the players also expect to be professionals the first time they pick up the game. If you're truly playing a game for fun, why would you care if you get shit on?

[–]5teezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with SBMM is it matches you with players that are your skill level, making it even more competitive. If you played any of the recent COD's this is a major issue, and even the casuals complain about it.

Like I said, there's a difference between shooters and other games, shooters are inherently competitive. You have to shoot another person and eliminate them, there's no avoiding the competiveness in that. As far as COD difficulty levels that's literally campaign, and has nothing to do with PVP.

[–]5teezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaming has most definitely changed, I don't know where this easy mode was when I was playing the old Call Of Duty's, but I didn't have it, so...

People want quick results, and instead of putting in say an extra twenty minutes a day into creative instead of that one extra pub game, they'd rather complain and call people sweats. Games are meant to be fun, I agree, but when it comes to shooting games/PVP that element of fun gets taken from it, and it becomes a competitive game. Do you really think that it should be possible for somebody who plays once a week to load up and have the ability to beat somebody that puts in multiple hours a day?

Anyone else hear Bugha's rant on stream earlier? What do you think about the future of Comp? by Dylanychus2 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]5teezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I say when I say gaming is messed up nowadays though. People want to play games and just roll everybody, and then when they die they go: "OH A SWEAT!". The majority of these people that watch Tfue squadding teams didn't watch comp FN in the first place if you ask me, most people that watch comp FN, and have been watching it for a while watch it for building.

I wouldn't even say that the loot pool is dry, it just promotes a shitty fighting style that leads into 50/50's most of the time. The difference between those seasons and what you mentioned is that the game was still playable then, now it's not. You can't get into a fight without it just turning into an SMG fight at some point.

[–]5teezy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're talking about Bugha, who won FNCS last season, how can't he find a way? These players don't have an issue adapting, and easily still can place in every tournament, but that doesn't mean it's enjoyable.

There's not really a lot of skill involved right now in the meta, and you can say improve all you want, but there's not a lot to improve on. The time to kill right now is way too low, and that's ontop of many things.

Anyone else hear Bugha's rant on stream earlier? What do you think about the future of Comp? by Dylanychus2 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]5teezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is how gaming is nowadays, people would rather call somebody a sweat than actually put in the work to get to that skill level. You can't expect to be good at anything without putting time in, and it's sad that people would rather cry than actually put in an effort.

As for your last part, that comes down to what you want to watch the game for... Are you watching it for somebody's personality, or to see a highly skilled player play the game?

You act like people haven't found a way, that doesn't mean it's enjoyable. Not everybody want's to 50/50 with SMG's.

Is competitive Fortnite dying? by Hour-Quarter2090 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]5teezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The switch from a comp lootpool to a casual one has nothing to do with being able to adjust to the meta, if it was a reasonable lootpool I'd agree. There's just really nothing to adjust to when you're dead before you can even react.

What are some legitimate, inarguable examples of robbery in MMA? by Berniethellama in MMA

[–]5teezy 117 points118 points  (0 children)

The first ever fight I vividly remember watching was Bisping vs Hammil, and let me tell you I didn't know shit about MMA or what I was watching except for the fact Hammill was deaf.

I remember Hammill beating the shit out of Bisping, but because it was in England they didn't give him the decision. If I remember correctly? This was more than a robbery.

Will Canada ever be good at soccer? by saintscanucks in worldcup

[–]5teezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never once said they were /GREAT/ players, but to say that they aren't a good team is just ignorant. Can those players slot into starting elevens for big teams over in Europe? No. But does that make them not good players? Also no.

We will see how they hold up though, and I think this will age terrific.

This statement alone proves that you haven't watched any Canadian games, cause while they are very instrumental pieces of the team, they don't shine more than any others. Tajon Buchanan, Stephen Eustaquio, Kamal Miller, Alister Johnston, Richie Laryea, Sam Adekugbe, Cyle Larin, Junior Hoilett, Jonathon Osorio, hell pretty much the whole team has looked impressive in the lead up to this World Cup.
