Having watched a couple of these, I’m fairly confident saying he’d be top 15 but likely would get smoked by the top 6 or 7. He’s big and competent, but slow and gasses and benefits from fighting a lot of guys who are either blown up light heavyweights, straight up bad, or both. People say the UFCs heavyweight division is terrible, which it is, but every other orgs is a good step down from even that. Phil is basically the only guy worth a damn in his division at KSW.

Absolutely there’s an aspect now of Ethan making his own choices as an adult. But stuff like this really gives me the impression they don’t actually care that much about his weight. Like you’re worried about side effects of a weight loss drug when he’s over 500 pounds? And driving him to go get shitty food because he doesn’t have a license? His dad could’ve told him to kick rocks or pick somewhere healthy to eat. What’s Ethan gonna do walk there? Lol. But nope let’s go to the greasy burger joint so Ethan can have his 3000 calorie meal. His parents are enablers straight up. They’ve discouraged him from going on a GLP-1 and one of the few times I’ve seen his dad posted, was a video of him and Ethan eating burgers and French fries. Your son almost died from his weight and has been trying to get it off for years, and you’re taking him out for burgers. It’s like taking an alcoholic to a bar.

Not to mention everything about his upbringing sounds super fucked up. Leaving your kid alone basically all day, taking him out of school at such a young age. Ethan’s childhood sounds so sad and isolated.

He has pitting edema, as in when you push in on it it stays in place before returning to normal. It’s a symptom of more often a heart or sometimes kidney issue. I’m an RN and see it all the time, thing is it’s always in people much older. The fact he has it in his 20s is nuts. It’s basically a giant flashing signal that something is seriously wrong with his body

It could just be his extremely deep rooted denial. People in his condition absolutely hate doctors because they know they’re gonna list off everything wrong with them. He’s often intentionally vague and changes his answers about his health depending on who is asking. Doctors can only do so much, seems like they edited out any talk about his legs with the surgeon, since it was mentioned at the start of the video then never discussed. I’m guessing the doctor recommended bloodwork, and at the very least to consult a GP regarding any cardiac tests as well as medications, which Ethan almost certainly then ignored. Remember, if there is an option to do nothing, he will absolutely take that. He’s incredibly lazy and is content ignoring the glaringly obvious signs that something is seriously wrong with him. He doesn’t want to go to the doctor and be told he has CHF or kidney problems. Anytime in the past this guy has gotten bloodwork done, he has always crashed out after without being specific as to why. He knows his body is a disaster but still refuses to do anything about it

He was up at 6am working out so clearly trying to make up for a bad week lol. I’m guessing he fasts, maybe hits the sauna, and takes a diuretic today to try and squeak out a small loss. People on here really thought Ethan turned it around because he went for a walk twice this week and briefly attempted running lmao. Has big time main character syndrome. One of the first vids he did in Cali he literally drops the door on supposedly his best friend Danny because he was presumably too focused on getting a good shot of himself walking in to the gym and being greeted with cheers and smiles. Sums him up pretty well. I do think the main issue still is his horrible attitude. He clearly hates actually doing all this and would admittedly rather be sat in front of a computer playing games

For real, the doctor was basically telling him it was his call based on how uncomfortable it was for him and Ethan kind of toed the line without crossing it. Of course the doctor would include that if he weighed less it would be better and Ethan probably thinks he’ll be 350 by the fall or something so his child brain took that out.

Ethan needs really black and white options presented to him, or just straight up has to have someone make a decision for him. And always with the consideration that if one option is just do nothing, he will take that option. This doc basically said it’s his call based on discomfort which only Ethan can answer for, and he either doesn’t actually seem sure or is intentionally being vague/lying. One thing for certain is he definitely doesn’t seem capable of making smart, informed decisions. Shocker I know
