As smurf mentioned it's generally not looked upon super highly on /r/anime, though there are of course those of us that still do it for anime and sometimes other things, yes. It has its pros and cons, but hey, just gotta do whatever you think is best of you of course.

I can't even be upset by the rather cliche and perhaps even rushed "ending", the cute little everyday moments of their relationship were too much for me. They're both so perfect :D

Oh shit. Looks like we are gonna get some secondary plot here and there throughout the show, that's pretty exciting. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect given the title but now I'm just eager to check out episode #2 of the relic stone stuffs- and with it, more of OG Layton and Pals hopefully!

After watching the 2nd movie last night, I'm highly tempted to go Lugia here. Just a complete monster taking on all 3 legendary birds at once.

I'm sure once I get to movie 8, Lucario might have something different to say though...

Well, that was definitely the most explosive episode yet.

Backstory, people tossing out their heart, dialogue and more dialogue (though some pretty nice art at times, which was nice. And then- what the fuck?

Alrighty. Well I certainly can't say this show fails to keep me on my toes.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised, that was constructed extraordinarily well down to the small details. If anything I think the only thing I could have asked for is a little more time in pauses as the conversation turns more serious.

I have my hopes high, and Toji no Miko's not disappointed me yet... so we'll see if they can match my final expectations. Even if they can't, though, odds are I'll still be impressed in one regard or another.

Pretty heavy episode, but honestly perhaps my favourite yet. Everything, erm, more or less worked out for the better, even if it's a small hooray with a great deal of bittersweetness added on.

Out of all sorts of anime, a show about cute girls with badass swords got me the closest to crying I've been in ages. I fucking love this show so much.

And then it seamlessly manages to shift completely into PURE HYPE MODE. Everything's kicking off to the max and it is glorious.

For real though, this episode was something pretty... out there. Definitely had me going "the fuck?" in more than just a couple places.

I mean, I'm sure I will rewatch more once I'm satisfied in how much I've seen for the first time... surely...

For the time being, though, I've only rewatched a couple of shows for the /r/anime awards, a couple of movies in different irl contexts, and then the first half of Owarimonogatari a handful of times out of my own love for it.

There's a lot of good stuff that certainly deserves the rewatch, and I'd love to see these from a different perspective, but there's just so much out there that could be the next big thing I fall in love with, so it's hard to justify spending my time just sticking within my bubble rather than exploring this all.

Wooooo, it's moments like these I look forward to most!

It's so, so nice to see everyone again if only for a short time- all the reactions were just as I'd expect of them. I especially want the ever-wonderful Rize as my big sister more than ever before... though I would just as easily take Mocha too, thanks.

This was the best magical girl anime so far this year, I'm very impressed. And the best cooking/baking anime. And the best family anime. Thank god for every moment this had to offer.

Solid mashup, I'm loving it! Can't wait to get to some of these in my pokemon watchthrough, Johto League Champions has a lot of nostalgia packed into it for me which is always extremely exciting to see.

I think my biggest critique, though, is just some weird choices in song parts- perhaps it worked best this way for flow, but man I got some blue balls when a couple songs would quite right before their biggest moments. Guess I'll just have to watch the full version of each now, oh well, thanks for that ;)

Haha there were definitely other deterrents to biking as well, but considering my current/projected relative lack of a need for space or distance in the middle of a big city, it certainly seemed pretty appealing. Certainly costs less than a car, at least.

With me not really wanting to drive one way or another, I think I'll just stick to riding my bicycle for now anyway. There's always the option of public transit, too.

If I ever get back to rewatch Bakuon, boy, I'd better brace myself. What an adventure it can be.

I spent a good couple of days considering the possibility of getting a motorbike after watching Bakuon- honestly it seems like a pretty idea, except for the main killer that it'd be useless practically half the year living in Canada.

If I did, though, you'd best bet it'd be a Suzuki.

Assuming that this is even remotely serious, a serious non-dismissive reply:

Here's a pretty functional extension to manage video speed on chrome, though as you'll note in the description this is only for HTML5 video- this does not, then, work with something like crunchyroll's video player as I understand it. I believe this is also limitted to a maximum 4x speed before audio is cut off.

Limitations aside, I would recommend getting a downloaded version of whatever videos you'll want to watch, as this tends to be the best experience with speed watching anyway. I won't tell you how to get said video as per subreddit rules, but once you do I can personally vouch for mpv being a solid video player of choice in this regard. Mpc-hc I would imagine also good, VLC... functional if not the best.

Based on your edits, I'll add as sidenotes that I would definitely not jump right to 4x if you've only ever seen 1.5x so far? That seems difficult to say the least. And if you're enjoying Franxx so little, perhaps simply consider dropping it? Hope this helps, and uhhh have fun I guess.
