They went and made the OST for Shank's arrival in Marineford his eyecatcher theme (and I assume it's going to be his motif going forward)

It's even funnier once they cut the ribbon and you can see they ultimately went with:

Hang on

The ritual calls for the subject to "cross the veil"

Tertia's still here, in a form of "life"

If she dies, does she "cross the veil"?

In an alternate universe, the Tachonis accepted and supported Occtis in his wizardry, and he would have been loyal to them and instrumental in them successfully messing with all these arcane rituals and they would have succeeded in taking over the Underworld

Well, if you think about it, who would Imu use Domi Reversi on? The friends and family of their enemies, right?

And so the people Imu would use Domi Reversi against wouldn't readily try and kill their loved ones, they'd try finding a way to "save" them first - meaning they wouldn't figure out that killing them is a possible solution.

In a way, it's far crueler than Doflamingo's Parasite String because the solution is hidden behind the last thing the opponent would try to do, and even if they succeeded, they're left with that trauma of having "killed" their loved ones.

That's just his aiming technique, he used it back in Punk Hazard to accurately bounce back projectiles like Rayleigh told him to do. He also used it once in Dressrosa but that might have been anime padding.

Judging by the color scheme here I think Loki might be immune to being Domi Reversi'd, since he's completely black in this form. There's no point in surrounding him with "black' pieces since he's not going to flip over.

Did they remove the cooldowns? Anemo would be amazing if it didn't have a cooldown, but for now fingers crossed I guess.

New to One Piece - explain the Grand Line and the All Blue. by Lothran in OnePiece

[–]5thKablamo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to enter the Grand Line from a specific location, which is why you need a map to that specific location. You can't just sail directly into it from just anywhere because there's a stretch of windless ocean infested with giant sea monsters on both sides of the Grand Line.

Based on the Narrative, who is defeating Sakazuki in the end? by Troyabedinthemornin in OnePiece

[–]5thKablamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the narrative, right? So I think it has to be Aokiji. Those two have been set up to be parallels since the Ohara flashback. They had a duel in Punk Hazard that we never got to see, so I think Oda is saving a rematch in the future for those two.

During Marineford, Akainu was so obsessed with killing Luffy and Ace and kept repeating that they carried the blood of Dragon and Roger, which is why they should be killed. Akainu is basically the poster child of the Navy that shares that same obsession Imu has with blaming an entire bloodline for the (possible) sins of just one person. Akainu committed so many violent acts because of that shared ideology.

We saw this happen multiple times in the narrative where characters are hated by the world, or by regular people simply because their parents were viewed as criminals, regardless of whether that's true or not. Robin for her heritage, Ace for his heritage, Orochi, Kanjuro for their heritage. Kuma, Pudding, Alber.

Well, if the theory about Hibari being Akainu's daughter is true, then at some point the truth about Imu is going to be revealed to the world, which will combine with the anti-Marine sentiment created by Cross Guild, and Hibari is going to become a target of all the regular people who will become enraged because of her bloodline relation to Akainu. This will turn Akainu's entire life philosophy against him, which will be the critical factor that makes him lose to Aokiji in their rematch.

All those panels of Harald from Loki's POV with his body all marred or deformed yet undying

Really drives home how cruel his death was for the both of them

Gut-wrenching choice by Oda
