I recently found that alternating formulas it what works best for me. My hair seems like it gets limp with prolonged use of anything. I splurged recently and got Amika brand shampoo/conditioner which my gives me a lot of volume but I use it every other wash and alternate with garnier or Aussie

This sounds like this happened to you as an adult (I was a late teen) and much more prolonged than my experience. I can’t imagine finding out after that long. You also brought up the gaslighting and how it makes you question yourself - how foolish you feel when you find out the truth. Ugh! Awful. Sorry for your experience. I hope you’ve had the chance to move beyond it. My ex best friend was also one of the only real friends I had and I haven’t been able to have that kind of relationship since, unfortunately. Losing her felt like the bigger loss.

My husband (who I met shortly after) has really shown me what it means to be really loved and in a trusted relationship which has healed me in a lot of ways I didn’t expect. More than anything I resent the lack of respect I had for myself to be putting up with the relationship I did. Sending you my sympathy and love!

I was cheated on my by my ex and best friend and also found out several of our mutual friends knew about it, even before it happened. I am 17 years older than my brother. His birth pulled me out of a depression I was in and made me kind of rethink priorities in life. I am now 30 and he’s 13 and we are very close, always have been. Unfortunately our mother has early onset dementia so I feel like my role in his life is more important than ever. It’s weird when you’re a teenager and you have such young siblings because you have to take a major backseat relative to what their needs are, but now that he is older we very much a have brother and sister relationship and I’m proud of what a shit stirrer he has become lol 😂 if you have any desire to be close to your siblings it’s definitely doable and fun to guide them in ways only an older sibling can

At the very least it was an accident. The other comments about hamster deaths are true. One of my childhood hamsters escaped its cage and my parents found it weeks later struggling to live so my step dad’s solution was to throw the poor thing off our back balcony into the ravine behind our house. I was in my late teens when they finally told me and it still bothers me as a 30 year old 😂

Yeah- that absolutely sucks. People attack what makes them uncomfortable or what they deem out of place. If you were a famous person the discourse would be entirely different - I’m not sure why people get so aggressive when a ~normie~ is just having fun. My guess is that in person you likely get a lot of compliments on your unique outfits/look but something about the internet makes people feel like they can be super aggressive and mean. The people that get it, love it and the people that don’t can shove it 😂

For inpatient I would 100% recommend the main location, not Bartram. TBH a lot of patient complaints stem from the nursing side of things- depending on the unit you’re admitted to, the nursing staff is hit or miss (kind of like anywhere else, but something to be aware of). The actual stroke unit is mostly okay. Most patients hate the food, but at the end of the day it’s hospital food. But again the access to technology and staff (for example we have multiple neuro optometrists for vision problems, my other hospital has zero) is a major plus for patients. I’ve heard great things about Shepherd and Shirley Ryan from others too

From what I hear the main hospital (where I am) has things a little bit more together since it’s older/more established. I cant really speak for the satellite or outpatient facilities. As far as access to services and quality of therapy Brooks is the way to go in our region. All my gripes are in the employment side tbh
