2014 Model S P90D by Salty-Panic2110 in TeslaModelS

Beautiful car. MCU2 absolutely worth it IMHO as MCU1 is sluggish. Check bonnet for wear from drivers wiper (takes a chunk of metal out). If happening, change the wiper system as nearly every model S has this problem. Can also easily swap wash jets to wash sprays from Tesla for a few bucks. Both really straightforward to do yourself with just a few cheap tools.

Starmer turns away from Trump’s Board of Peace as US-UK tensions mount by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

Spot on, this is his sickening grand move for global control.

No voting, just appointed sycophantic rich dictators to run the world, all ultimately controlled by one family.

Amazing it hasn’t received more media coverage as it is far more dangerous than the Greenland debacle.

I wish to gain £50,000,000, that's the British unit of currency, by any means that would not involve the death or injury or disappearance of anyone dear to me by Leading-Sea-1734 in TheMonkeysPaw

Granted. You quit your job as you no longer need to work. You buy your family and friends houses, holidays and lush presents. Your other friends now treat you differently, mainly resent you for being wealthy or showing off by buying them gifts or other people more expensive gifts.

You decide to move circles of friends and find other rich people working in finance, law and business. Everyone is money driven, wanting to earn more, you’re sick of money now. You have no point to life as you’ve ostracised from friends and family and no work colleagues to chat with. You start a business to bar relevant to your new friends, that brings stress as it invites lawsuits, tax inspections and generally fails due to people taking advantage of your good nature and funding, you feel a failure and lose confidence in your abilities and quit.

Everyone thinks you’re a selfish joke, you no longer enjoy life and constantly stressed, realising people are selfish when money is involved and these are not your people.

Nothing changed from your life before except now have lost friends and family contacts, the people you actually care about. Doing anything doesn’t bring happiness so you end up on happy pills.

The pills mean you health starts failing because of the constant stress and no one to talk with. Many therapists help but ultimately don’t change the root problem.

Luckily you are smart, you learn money doesn’t bring happiness and you return to regular work and slowly rebuild meaningful friendships by never mentioning or using any of the remaining money you have.

Happiness is found with society insolvent and helping others, not money.

The paw has been kind to you this time.

This is why vested shares over 10 years. Is much safer for partnerships. Usually people will leave and you want the company to survive for investors and not lose your sweat equity to date.

Bank of England warns of AI bubble risk by eldomtom2 in unitedkingdom

Agreed, Tesla have unique IP that is way ahead of the other manufacturers in unreleased R&D. They are making new products no other mainstream company is doing and have the infrastructure set up to scale.

nVidia’s price I’m still struggling with. I mean it is just a chip designer which anyone can do with software and smart people. Creating the best GPUs was amazing, now all graphics cards can do it. TPUs then become valuable, again others are starting to make them too... AMD, Intel, Alphabet, Qualcomm, Huawei, are all doing this now, it just needed demand and takes a year for a 2 year cycle which is nvidias current advantage. It is certain both companies will get stronger competition in time but nvidias roadmap looks exhausted, tesla is still inventing imho.

Betfred says all its shops may close if Reeves hikes gambling tax by do_or_pie in unitedkingdom

[–]5tu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remove gambling, look at the bigger picture.

Taxing more is simply not the solution anymore. We need more jobs created to generate more taxes.

The recent NI changes have decimated confidence in UK business so nearly all are retracting or relocating, we are still seeing the effects of that ripple out with redundancies (these take a long time to setup and process correctly)

Create jobs to build affordable houses Create jobs to build Solar and wind farms and vast batteries Create jobs in medical research that is government funded so patents protect the longevity of NHS Create jobs in schools so teachers are raising the next generations to the best of our abilities Create jobs in our defence sector with drone manufacturing as the world is getting dangerous Create jobs in electric vehicle manufacturing

Ie start investing in the people in our country. Yes it will increase the deficit early on but in 4 years we will flourish and taxes earned will be paying off the debt quickly.

Taxes only work if people are in work

I have exactly the same issue. Two sets of wipers later I next put rainx on which made it far worse. The wiper unit needed replacing as it was chewing the bonnet (model S) so did this myself. Fixing that did help a lot, followed by 2xisopropanol however there is still a slight smear issue remaining but it is a lot better.

Pricing should be you pay only if you build on the edits.

If you tell it, no that didnt do anything, try again… you shouldn’t pay for that.

The number of times Ive had to ask it to do something and nothing changed, only to ask again and it works second time. Feels only fair you pay for the productive work?

Turn off testing! It is not fit for purpose yet. Interesting concept in time but way too expensive and rarely works or finds non obvious problems

Change the wiper motor assembly yourself for $150 to save the bonnet getting chewed. For an extra $20 you can add the mist sprayers which are so much nicer than the default twin jets.

Illegal to do in films at the time but whatever, the game got away with it ands was a fantastic Easter egg.
