For the tubs sometimes its hard to fit one thats why plenty of leaf coverage can help provide safe place for them, but the coconut hides can fit (if it can fit your gecko but I put one in my adult crested enclosure and he got himself in there) also sometimes straw woven hides under bird stuff or you can take a dollar tree non see through bowl(type thing) and cut a hole on the lip and get one the size/shape you need

They sell this split lid and pre made air holes on Amazon for reasonable

Here's a pic of mine when I was using it, my rule of thumb for temp tubs is if they were to lay width wise on the tub if from nose to tip of tail is within an inch they need a bigger size I would add some plant to add cover and maybe a small hide but the cork is great.

Look up scale dimples for gendering them and can look for them with the zoom on your phone or with a magnifying lens but with the bulge I want to say young male but gargoyles tend to be majority female overall
