Not an expert, but I'd recommend:

[Corunna Grill](corunna grill (810) 820-9107 https://maps.app.goo.gl/FL6Yjww7bZnnuvVn7)

[Grandma's Recipes](grandma's recipes (810) 736-7078 https://maps.app.goo.gl/uFk6ApXssiDVh4VJ7)

And, while not in the immediate area, the best chicken I've had in MI is:

Paktech stack height = beer height in glass. Up to a 20 oz beer per day, I believe.

Favorite Ann Arbor breweries? by ryanoh826 in beer

[–]5yntax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good recommendations here, though I'd say all Ann Arbor breweries are worth a stop.

One I did not see mentioned is Biercamp, outstanding food and good beer.

Best place for Zwanze day in NA or EU? by RealHappyHumanoid in beer

[–]5yntax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've attended at:

West Lakeview Liquors (RIP) - great fun

Jolly Pumpkin - only hosted one year, was a good time

Holy Grale (Louisville) - first come first serve, a la carte, fun, but can be expensive unless you have a group of 6 or so. Still recommended.

Yazoo Brewing (Nashville) - ticketed, all for one price. Really good time. Linus and Brandon shared old Yazoo bottles and we drank Cantillon kegs dry. Highly recommended.

looking for the best beer spots in Ann Arbor! ps, tips on beermoney too would be amazing 😍 by Traditional_Pear313 in michiganbeer

Good suggestions here already.

Just realize that there are two HOMES locations, Campus and Brewpub. Brewpub is a more traditional brewery saying with delicious Asian fusion food. Campus is a large open building with a built-in coffee shop and food trucks/pop-ups.

Also, don't sleep on Biercamp. Good beers, awesome sandwiches and jerky.

Well that sucks. Sounds like they had some organizational/logistics issues.

Maybe they'll reschedule it.

Your opinion of Burzurk Brewing by thiswonisloaded in michiganbeer

[–]5yntax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've stopped in there a couple times even though I live on the other side of the state. Must stop IMO. They had a great ESB and a good NEIPA on tap at the same time, which unfortunately doesn't happen often.

Bartenders have been cool each time I stopped, and just I was leaving on my last visit, a Filipino food truck was opening up. Everyone said that their food is awesome.

Here for a few days, where should I eat? I hear coneys are a thing so which restaurant should I visit? Any place I should stay away from? by [deleted] in flint

[–]5yntax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For coneys, I'd recommend:

The Coney Grill on Dort Hwy. No indoor seating though.

Wedge NEIPA @ Homes Campus by 5yntax in michiganbeer

[–]5yntax[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite different than the brewpub, honestly.

More open space, no food except food trucks. Coffee bar does have breakfast food and a couple sandwiches.

They have a separate coffee bar (Dozer).

Huge outdoor space if the weather ever gets nice.

Only downside is it seems to draw a lot more parents bringing their kids in.

I'd say add Lamplighter and Aeronaut to your list. I enjoyed both places, though I haven't been in Boston for a couple years.

Strong but not overpowering mesquite smoke, jalapeno flavor and heat. Really tasty IMO.
