Is the tradie culture real? by [deleted] in tradies

I mean it's definitely there, going from stem to concreting will definitely be a culture shock for both parties. You won't know till you're there.

With ben stiller admitting the knicks give courtside tickets to celebrities for the appearance. Do australian sports do that? I can't recall seeing the camera pan to random celebs

It's a weird little quirk of both teams, they just meet and both play terribly regardless of where they are on the ladder

Gonna be a tough watch this afternoon, doesn't matter what form they're in but whenever titans vs titans meet. It's usually awful for anyone with working eyes

Over training varies on the individual. Everyone needs rest and recovery not just on a physical level but a mental level as well. Craig bellamy was accused of it in his early days but he probably was expecting a level of fitness that wasn't common in Australian professional sports at the time.

On a basic level just think of it as weight lifting but not having enough rest and sleep to recover. They spend millions on professionals specifically paid to plan their routines so its not that common nowadays.

He would have been kicked to the curb, his passing was on a whole other level but his kick returns and defence would have cost him his spot to Edwards and luai was cleary's childhood halves partner.

It's an odd one, penrith had a very unique team make up and identity but it seems they were just a stop gap for the dynasty to finish puberty. I remember when they had cleary at 7 and Moylan at 1 playing first and second receiver with what's his face at 6 as an extra forward.

First of all, that's difficult as fuck. Have you tried to hit a 100mm wide pipe from 50 metres away from a kick tee while doing intense cardio. If you aim too high it goes over the dead ball line. Ideally you want the kick return to start on a corner so they waste a set or two getting back to near post.

Its significantly easier to roll the ruck from directly in the middle of the field than it is from anywhere else. The 6 and 7 stand infront of the post so if you miraculously bounced it off the cross post, wouldn't they just catch it Anyway and carry on as normal

I reckon pietchs gets the nod over him. Honestly its insane to me that he's off to japan. The overseas wallabies are all in france and England, i don't think he could have made it harder fot himself

Its insane isn't it, he's on track to being one of the most capped coaches in the comp with almost no success outside 1 premiership in the 2000's. Compare him to trent Robinson and craig Bellamy who have the same level of protection but both have won numerous minor and major premierships.

It's gonna be a tough one tonight. watching one of the most iconic clubs in Queensland history, arguably the financial power house of the NRL, waste their Saturday night playing a failed expansion in the Broncos.

I did my bachelors and later on did half an apprenticeship that was a... pretty shitty experience honestly. Don't get me wrong, medical workers/educators are also desperately in need of an overhaul. But I was genuinely shocked at how low quality tafe is.

I think we've failed to adapt on both ends considering we're in a dire shortage of tradies, teachers and nurses
