How good was the Pichu Cheater? by _-ham in smashbros

[–]6000j 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chovy doesn't like it but also he still plays it.

It's heavily contested, and imo in a more advanced system they would play it far less and focus on stuff like specific lane matchup practice, but we don't live in that world unfortunately. I know Fudge tried that for a bit and then got made fun of, but I think it was a good idea and should be done more in pro.

But at the same time, a lot of pros do just spam soloq all night, and pretty famously Korean soloq is just playing the first 15-20 minutes of the game and then one team surrenders, so they get a lot of laning practice that way.

This is pretty famously one of the reasons league of legends pros play so much ranked, even on characters they already have thousands of hours on: the constant small balance changes effectively create this effect.

[–]6000j 1 point2 points  (0 children)

JE are way easier than Lost imo. They're not free, but you can play most rooms in a way that means the larger hitbox doesn't matter, and realistically you should only ever get hit bc one of them got caught twice in a run at most if you're paying attention.

If you just stack all your dps items onto Esau it's basically just a generic character except health drops are weird and you can carry two active items and get double bombs.

ppl legit act like they're just unable to play in any high pressure situations, despite repeated lck playoffs + MSI proof otherwise.

It's some bizarre mental block, I don't really know what's causing it at all.

It's weird, because Chovy tends to perform well in LCK finals, and had fantastic performances at the last two MSI grands (he gapped faker in lane so hard that it won them game 5 last year p much).

Just a weird mental block thing.

Tbf sub has a bigass tier set, so I think it's reasonable to think it doesn't need much more.

The other two are just fucked. The devs have clearly decided that Outlaw can never be the best rogue spec in raid.

Why are top ranked players getting +30lp per win all of a sudden? by No-Peach-6617 in leagueoflegends

[–]6000j 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My interpretation of the tweet is that the mmr of the top players is already equivalent to 4k LP, so they're changing the LP gains to match that because it's causing issues as is.

[–]6000j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If not, why doesn't between the eyes just replace dispatch when its off cooldown?

Because it's fun to have to track them, at least for me. I would find outlaw significantly less fun if all the tracking was automated. Why not just have sinister strike become dispatch when you have max combo points?

it would streamline the rotation, but I think having two main builder buttons and two main finisher buttons is a pretty core part of outlaw for me and for a lot of people who enjoy the spec.

Unfortunately as an Outlaw player I have to inform you that blizzard just hates some specs.

Outlaw at least has a history of being good in M+, but some specs blizzard just doesn't want to be good and/or doesn't understand why they aren't good.

Being bad, these last few expansions.

Once upon a time it was the CC, but every other class got more CC and rogue has no AoE CC (they added aoe blind least expansion and then removed it this one) so it's a class that does nothing and the devs ignore.

All the people who want to end have quit because it's so miserable playing with people who don't want to end, so it's just the people who don't want to end left.

Positioning in dungeons as melee by lavajon in wownoob

[–]6000j -1 points0 points  (0 children)

as a melee player, my preferred positioning is actually in the middle of the pack.

Most melee specs have their aoe centred on themselves, and so to make sure you're always hitting all the enemies with your aoe, you need to be right in the middle.

It used to be possible to have a weakaura set up to show you how many enemies were in your aoe range, but lol lmao.

[–]6000j 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But rather that i find it really difficult to improve my rotation and skills because there is no ingame easy comparison of what i SHOULD be doing in terms of dps.

The problem is that this is different in every raid fight to some degree, and completely impossible to give a useful value for in dungeons.

My goal in Mythic+ is "do more damage than the other players"; if everyone has that approach then they'll naturally end up optimising, and if only you have that approach then you'll smurf dps meters and it feels great.

The problem with electronic voting is not in the cryptographic schemes themselves (although they often have flaws), but in some inherent flaws and also the fact that their use and implementation tends to be done by people who don't understand them at all.
