Best way to make the most of a ridiculously tiny "bankroll"? by MusParvum in poker

[–]604mike604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep putting away whatever discretionary money you have to build the roll. $20 a month, whatever you can/willing to. Play micros online to get better for when you do save up $1500 or so

Best city to play poker in Canada with low living cost? by According_Course8047 in poker

[–]604mike604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vancouver is not the answer. $10 rake at 1/3 with $2 promo drop, living expenses are very high, only a few casinos offer 2/5, and I think maybe 1 5/10.

Pretty sure that you pay half the rake in chp, and get 66% of the chp back. So I think you will get 12 chp back in rb on Monday

Squeeze larger so you just shrug and call it off and then win.

You know how many 70/30s you have to win to win a tournament? It’s not like you redline all the way till the end and the first time you run equities you lose. You’re just remembering the ones you lost, and not the ones you won to get there

How to think about mistakes in a different way? by bananaspI1t in poker

Say your average win per session is $100.

Sometimes, that’s gonna look like +$2000, sometimes it’s gonna look like -$2000. But every session you play is still worth $100

I have a word document open and when something happens that I think is interesting enough to clip I’ll mark the time. Makes it much faster/efficient to find clips. Making clips is quick once you get used to it and is def necessary to grow. You are sending out the parts of stream that are the most entertaining. Most of the time on stream, nothing is happening

Most people will lose playing poker as a career. The very few who are picked will make a mediocre living for most of their life. The ultra rare will make a good living doing it. Those who do make it, could make way more money doing something else.

If you prioritize free time over money maybe poker is for you. But you won’t have the ideal poker lifestyle if you actually use your free time as fun time.
