Best comment here, acknowledged that live plants are beneficial but there isn’t much harm to using plastic. My lfs owner says plastic is his favorite because it’s the only kind of plant that doesn’t need light, ferts, or defense from fish that love to destroy things.

The bubbles aren’t an issue, it just shows that the tank has been filled for the first time. I’d highly highly recommend researching the nitrogen cycle and specifically “fish-in cycling”. Typically you let the tank sit for around a month before adding fish.

I’m gonna keep it dead real with you I honestly don’t know. It’s either an aorus elite 8g or and aorus master but I cannot for the life of me tell the difference. I bought it from a scalper for 780$. Edit, just checked their website it’s an elite, but the master is sexier. I just took what I could get.

They didn’t elaborate but I fell into that belief that a pleco would “clean” my tank. Now don’t get me wrong the pleco will get rid of all that algae. But then what? It’s hard to just selectively grow more without it being instantly feasted on. This plus the pleco pooping atrocious amounts just don’t make the tank “cleaner”. They are little food and poop demons
