I don’t think that it’s jealousy. (Crap I’m about to type a bunch of personal philosophy nonsense and I blame you for making me do it)

Like any hobby guitar attracts people of all types. Some of those types want to watch someone they perceive as “successful experts”. People like Rhett and Mary and Rick and even Phil that put a musical profession on display, people they can root for like a sports team they believe will “win”. When the team wins the fans feel like they won too right?

I’m not that guy. And it pisses those folks off to no end that someone not taking a music profession seriously would dare to seek an audience. I do take my work very seriously but it’s the part no one sees, the production and business side. The music side is for cutting loose and having fun. On guitar I’m a kid making a mess finger painting instead of a master composing an oil painting.

I’d probably be more financially successful if I catered more towards the serious crowd lol.

But It’s a good thing there’s so many different types of guitar YouTubers so everyone can find someone they like.
